She lives in Canada. I met her at Niagara Falls. :)
I also love that when you choose "image search" it takes the first few Google Image results and displays them as a pseudo-ascii art image. :)
The H2G2 website started roughly around the same time as Wikipedia and it always bummed me out that H2G2 didn't win out over Wikipedia. What a great legacy to Douglas Adams that would have been.
If you haven't seen this yet, it really cracked me up. :)

Agreed. I loved the Rod (Rob?) Lord animated graphics. They were, and always will be, how envision the Guide. Although, I thought they did a pretty good job in the movie, too.
Hope you and your four-year-old have a great time rocking out. :)

Chicago's The Boogers. Punk rock for kids. :)
It could be. Maybe the Chameleon Circuit is just acting wonkier than usual.
I know this is over a year and a half old, but the nerd in me is really curious. What would the correct usage have been? "...the likelihood of my reading your resume..."
I know this article is from December and no one will probably see this, but this post from The Onion yesterday cracked me up and made me remember it. :)

Can we try to make a definitive list of movies and TV shows here? Now I'm curious. I've been thinking of all kinds of movies, some "hacker" movies others just movies where "hacking" appears. Here is what I have so far based on what was referenced in the article and what I could think of off the top of my head.
I rewatched Johnny Mnemonic a few years ago and when he said, "I can store 80 gigs of data in my head" I chuckled and said "Whoopdie doo. I have a 160 gig iPod in my pocket." :)
My humble additions.
I question just how "famous" some of these quotes are. :)
I don't think I've seen the Special Edition. I remember Five Doctors ending with the 4th Doctor and Romana running into the TARDIS and it dematerializing (with the Doctor's scarf stuck in the door IIRC). :)
Let's really complicate things. The 4th Doctor episode Shada was never finished or aired. Would it still be considered canon? :) Or would the audio/flash animated version of it with the 8th Doctor and Romana II (who in the audio adventures returned from e-space and eventually became Lord President of the Time Lords)…
Having grown up watching the 4th Doctor in the early 80s one of my biggest problems with The Five Doctors was that it made Borusa into a villain. I liked the semi-recurring character and wasn't happy he went power mad. :)
I thought the Peter Cushing movies were made because Terry Nation had written the two stories that the movies were based on and also had/has the rights to the Daleks, similar to how the non-canon Bond movie Never Say Never Again was made because the writer had the rights to SPECTRE (or something like that).
I think more science minded folk have a right to be concerned when the people opposed to science have so much control over what ends up in the classrooms across the country.
