So that’s what gets swapped out! Thanks for sharing.

Your friend really prove much of anything. So all he did was basically take a factory produced, unmodified factory car and raced it against a race prepped drag racer. What was the point?

Big mistake in not putting a V8 in it. Who wants to buy a quarter million dollar car with a V6???!!! They can still race it with the Ecoboost V6, but the production car shoulda had a V8. Big mistake, huge!

I don’t remember Subaru ever telling me these were supposed to be “fast”.

Seems like it’s only me, but I’m not very enthusiastic about this car.

Although these are Quick, they are not fast. There is a difference.

Prowler looked like it should have been way faster. Yes, I realize it was actually “decent” for it’s time but no where near what you would call “fast.”

Miata is always the answer. Particularly if you're talking about a 1.6L NA like mine.

My 1989 Turbo Trans Am. I’ve driven faster cars, I’ve driven race cars, and all sorts of other things. But no car was as completely kill yourself terrifying as that car. The boost was cranked up a bit, it had a straight through downpipe with no cat to a dynomax muffler. It sounded like an F16 and a Corvette had a baby

Ahh... how could we forget this little gem of American retro-styling gone bad?

Depends how you define power. The Chevy 5.3 has better towing and equal fuel economy in real world testing.

A perfect demonstration that the very idea of a planned economy is contrary to human nature, isn’t it?

More likely a Soviet tractor engine, or one from a Chinese forklift.

Considering the T-55 the Cuban military is equipped with (as well as the T-34 that came before it) has a 500hp 38.8L (yes, as in 2,368 cubic inches) V-12 diesel, that would be awesome.

More like it than you’d believe. It’s got a Chevy V8!

I recall that this is how Isuzu managed to get the Eighties Troopers into the States; they came in as ‘trucks’ without a rear seat, and the dealers then installed the seat.

It was certainly one of the first to do that. I wonder how many modern CUV’s and crossovers fall into a light truck classification.

That’s the dumbest thing on the internets yet today.

Those are the exact same rifle.

Oh look, gawker commenters are now on Jalopnik.
