Tangentially related, but how does the Seth Meyers show seem to be doing now? I watched the first couple weeks and definitely knew there'd be some growing pains, but honestly his personality bothered me sometimes (once he sorta snapped at the audience when they didn't laugh enough at his joke) and I didn't keep up

There is a legend in my family that my grandma's old cat once tried to kill my dad as a baby, by pushing his stroller down a hill. I like to think that the cat was actually trying to help out but just didn't understand physics well enough.

This made me miss the cat I grew up with too (she died about ten years ago). It will never cease to break my heart that after I left for college, she would just sit in my room every day and cry. :(

I felt so bad when she finally managed to jump off the dad's lap, only to have that PA shove her back. Everyone knows there's a cat and everyone can see the cat is uncomfortable, just let her be!!

**can't go back to edit, but that should say gender-equal instead of gender-neutral, lol.

At least they didn't have Matt Lauer interviewing them. He is the worst! I can't imagine agreeing to an interview with him for free. And yes, especially after going through a trauma like these parents did.

That cat does NOT want to be there.

I always think the same thing. Why do they always give their first interviews to morning TV shows? They must get paid, right?

I agree on the low ball thing. I actually thought they would have gotten much, much more for this. I mean, the Rob Ford tape was going for about the same and he's in no way as famous as Beyonce/Jay Z.

I agree with Ciccionissima. There are tons of sex scenes, most of them are extremely awkward in how gratuitous they are, and they aren't gender-neutral by a long shot. However! I find the female characters to absolutely be the strongest and smartest ones, and for that reason I wouldn't dub it as anti-feminist at all.

I dunno, if legal stuff doesn't enter the picture I think they'll be fine. And even then, this isn't the biggest news story ever so it'll die down eventually if their name does get out there. Hopefully if the person is smart they'll use the money to either pay off debt or go to school for a better career. Assuming

In my old desk job I mastered the fine art of sleeping at work while propped up in my cubicle so it looked like I was on my computer "working". It was awesome.

Was thinking the same thing. If I were that employee, I wouldn't even care about being fired after coming across such a goldmine. They probably made more than several years' pay from selling this.

Yes, absolutely it is more common than one would think. I too was with a guy for about 2 years, who always said he would stand by my side through any & all complications of my health problems at the time. But when I gained some weight from prednisone, that was apparently just too much and he left. It was so horrible

Agree completely. I went to Montreal with some friends recently and one of them seriously had our entire itinerary planned out hour-by-hour with activities... I took off and just walked around and went shopping for a bit and it was great. I get why some people like that kind of organization, but for me the best part

Yes, I hate this! I had an ex who used to scuba, and wanted me to get certified so we could go out in the fucking open ocean and dive. I said no because there's something about deep water that kinda scares the crap out of me, and he acted like I was an insane fun-ruiner. I consider myself a pretty big risk taker in

Same. The headline made me want to cry a little.

I declare this one the winner, if only because I have claustrophobia and this sounds TERRIFYING.

Jesus. I'm so sorry you went through that. :(

Thanks. Yeah, I'm not one to throw around the term 'abusive' lightly, but he certainly fits the bill for emotional abuse (the isolation, lowering her self-esteem, etc etc). I really love her and hope I can let her know that I will always be there for her.
