It’s fine if you are still within the lines. You’re an asshole if you drive in the break-down lane just to get to “zip” a little further up.

Yeah, I was about to say.

When I tell people I drove a Type II for farther than 20 miles at a time I get confused looks. “You drove it where?”

Yes. I took the thing through Boston traffic, up to the tip of ME, down through NH, into VT and back home. In 5 days.

I can say with confidence that I had WAY more fun on that

I just hope battery tech gets better. I would drive a Leaf for a DD because they are stupid cheap for a used one but I drive 60 miles a day and that is way too close to 70 mile capacity. Once winter hits that range drops too much to make it back home.

190k is nothing on these things. A coworker has the sedan version of this car and it just ticket 600k miles. Biggest issue is that injectors should serviced around the 200k mark and the alt seems to fail around there as well. I would use that to negotiate the price. At $6500 I think it’s too much; however, if the car

Which is why I’m probably going to have to figure out how to do an electric motor swap in my cars in 20 years when gas gets too expensive. At least with my current fleet I have, I can still feel and hear the road.

Maybe if we offer to wire money, then mistakenly make it out for $5000 and just have him send the rest of the money back it would be worth it?

It depends on the state and also where it came from. In MA sold to another MA resident it’s basically impossible. If I buy from a state that doesn’t require a title for the age of vehicle then I “can” get one but it’s a pain in the ass.

Other states, especially up north you just walk in with a hand scribbled note and

“They” as an industry sure are. Hopefully Nissan will become fun again. Subaru stopped being the quirky company they once were so I need something to spend my money when it’s time for a new DD.

Shit. My sarcasm filter is broken today. Well played.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think the frame was bent on this thing IIRC.

Nissan has made some great cars. Even the cars these days that are considered not so great can be fun to drive but they have been diluted for sure - much like every car company. Cars these days are just so numb that eventually it wont even matter if we drive them ourselves or not. I think that’s the goal. To make

What’s the full economy on that thing? It looks like it’s probably rubbish with those aerodynamics.

You forgot the “nasty attitude” part. It needs to be filled with Boston and NYC assholes.

If Nissan sold the IDX I would buy it new. It could have all kinds of crazy autonomous bullshit in it and I would still buy it - as long as it looked 95% as good as the concept.

Hey, a broken clock is still right twice a day!

That’s what I’m thinking. I’ve seen these pods go for stupid money in some circles.

This thing is just a badass little truck.

“... proves that there is such a thing as ‘too much stance.

    Yeah.. It’s called stance.

Does the paint fall off of the VW? If not, it’s 100% better than the Subaru.

That’s the funniest thing I read all day! Love the sarcasm. 10/10 would read again.

“Also how the fuck does someone allow this kind of thing to get to this stage next to their home?”

I’m assuming drug and/or assault charges.
