The whole problem here is that the car has licensed software to begin with. If I’m paying that much money for something, I want to be able have full control of it. This goes for any manufacturer, not just Tesla.

These trucks had that issue. Some of the early VQ40s failed in something like 20k miles and it took them about 5 years to finally resolve the issue.
