Exactly. It’s not as common as say, an f150, but I don’t think I will have a hard time finding spares for the foreseeable future, even if they do end the production.

Depending on the use, old and proven tech can be a selling point. It’s one of the reasons I bought a Frontier. Yes, the truck hasn’t changed in 14 years but it’s a proven design, reliable and can be had in a manual.
Subaru told me I couldn’t have a passenger in the front until parts were available. I called the dealer and they told me it was a 6 month back order. It took another 3 on top of that to actually get it fixed.
“If that’s takenfrom me due to regulation or age related issues, fine.”
You lost by 6 minutes.
I’ll buy one used, if at all.
That’s the point. It isn’t a lifeboat. It’s a boat designed for recovery.
Came here to say this. A top speed of 25 knots, I don’t think this thing could be very fuel efficient. Most real lifeboats have tiny but fuel efficient engines than can run for days non-stop. I’d rather go 6 knots for 80+hours than 25 for 4 in a life or death situation.
Meanwhile, I had to fight Subaru tooth and nail before getting the paint issue on our Crosstrek resolved. In the end, they still told us to screw ourselves and but the dealer, with the help of Subaru of New England, stepped up to the plate and trades us out the vehicle.
Dear Subaru of America,
Go Fuck yourself. I’ll…
MA, actually. But yeah, my work has a site there and I have heard horror stories.
I’d be happy with inspections if they weren’t such a bunch of bullshit and actually did something to get unsafe vehicles off the road.
Things that I have been failed for:

Geely LOLYOUBOUGHTTHISPIECEOFSHIT Spec.S
I both love and hate how a simple photo can get a song stuck in my head for the foreseeable future.
If the tire was not made within the last 9 months, return them unless you got a stupid deal on them.
A friend of mine bought some KO2 tires for his Wrangler at the beginning of the year. He isn’t a gear head and just went to Town Fair Tire because they had a buy 3 get one free deal. They had a hard time balancing them…
No. Watermelons to hammers.
That’s right. I just made a Gallagher joke.
No manual option and no 6ft bed with CC option. CP.
Auto + no roof = CP to me.
They solve the panel gap problem by eliminating panels all together.
“How do you not notice any of this happening? How does the whole balance of the truck not feel off when the arm is raised and you’re driving? How do you not hear or feel pulling down those power lines before running into the stop light pole? I’m so confused.”
I’ve seen people drive with no tire left on their wheel and…
For me, personally, the LEDs are just too bright. It doesn’t matter if they are OEM or the aftermarket ones that replace the regular bulbs. They are always SUPER bright when an oncoming car has them to the point where I have flashed a car coming at me thinking he has his brights on only to be even more blinded a…
