If I ever become POTUS my second executive order (after making posting automatic cars as manuals punishable by death) will be to ban road salt.

So compare it to the WRX of the era which is what the Mazdaspeed is competing with. The seats are way better than the Speed. Ergo is on par but the pedal placement of the Speed doesn’t feel right.

Even in P71 trim, it is still a Crown Vic. I would hope Ford’s most luxurious model would have good interior.

With that being said, I disagree. The ergonomics are horrible in Crown Vics. The only thing they have going for it are the seats which I’m pretty sure La-Z-Boy makes.

I just don’t get it. It’s like one magazine said they didn’t like the interior of a WRX once and everyone just parrots it.

Driving position, ergonomics and quality are all superior to at least 75% of the cars they are competing against year for year.

I’ll agree that the 06/07 base Impreza seats leave a lot to be desired (I have 03 WRX seats in mine for that reason), but comparing it to a Mazdaspeed of the same era? Really? Even the Speed 6 feels super cheap and rattly compared to the Imp and that is night and day compared to the Speed 3.

In 08 they took a step back

Transmission swap is $500-$1200, Engine complete rebuilt is $3500. Low mile VFxx turbos can be had for under $800. If I were building it I would replace all the rubber lines and probably radiator but that is not necessary. You can have a well tuned car that you know exactly how the engine has been treated for well

Why does everyone slam Subaru for their interior? I don’t get it. Sure, its not up to German standards but they are light years ahead of anything American and on par or better than most other Japanese manufactures from the same time periods. The most annoying thing is cup holder placement on older models.

Better than New England cars. I’ve known people who shipped Colorado Subarus to MA because it is way easier to find a decent example. Sure, not all of them are perfect and they are in worse condition than, say a SOCAL car, but they are easier to find.

A complete EJ255 with decent internals can be had for under $3500 these days. Transmissions can be had for dirt cheap as well. Personally I would take the opportunity to put a 4.44 JDM transmission in there. Upgrade the turbo, tune it and you have a beast of a car that will go for another 10 years for well under $10k.

That’s a feature. It gives their users an excuse to go buy the next $2394829 iPhone XIV

If I ever became the POTUS, my first executive order would be to make this shit punishable by death.

After trying to sell my last car for months and a bunch of shady buyers, I found that setting up a Google Voice number was probably the best thing I ever did. That number still gets pings by people who contacted me with low ball offers and I rejected. The car hasn’t even been listed for three months!

Do you realize how heavy horses are? IIRC the FJ is rated for 3k lbs towing.

It seems like you are trying to get him to buy one specifically to bankrupt FCA with towing costs. I like it.

He has more of the “Apple Picker Supervisor” look to me.

No, orange on orange with white door cards.

Yes, but with fewer ports, it is even easier to accomplish. Again, I disagree with forcing people to buy expensive bluetooth everything, but technically speaking, the less openings the device has, the more water resistant it is.

The purpose of removing them is literally so the phone doesn’t hold water. Removing of the ports makes it easier to make the phone more water resistant.

I don’t agree with it. I’d much rather use an AUX cable over fiddling with Bluetooth.

Well yeah, any faster and they would have had that Explorer roll over problem.

Children born after y2k are driving and legally buying cigarettes now. Some of them barely know what Broncos are.
