The modern crop of all-weather tires are awesome for people who live in places where winter is not quite cold enough to make full-on winter tires (like Blizzaks, etc.) work. I’m in NW Washington - it’s often 50+ here in the winter, with tons of fain of course. The warmth will make you wear down a pair of Blizzaks down

You know what?

No kidding. I’ve been so busy I”m like “jeez, you got an early sneak peek and couldn’t wait? At least wait until it’s OUT!” And then I glanced at the computer clock to figure out how much longer I have to wait . . . and damn, it’s already July 28.

Fuckin’ dieters trying their best to ruin a good thing.  Leave my damn diabetes medicine alone.

You shut your rare-earth, transition metal mouth, Yttrium. AoS was fun, and several of us really liked it!

Rachel Brosnahan as Lois?! I Can see that.

Where the hell is Romancing the Stone (and its sequel)? As far as Indy imitators go, it’s not only the first out of the gate, but it was also very influential in its own right. Half the adventure movies on this list steals its its romance dynamic.

Some guy who clicks his mouse 12 times in Adobe thinks generative AI is a dangrous technology sucking the soul out of human art.

Trukk, not monky.

Gotta disagree with Linda here; if this ends up being closer to Lois & Clark in tone it’ll be a nice change of pace to the usual world-ending stakes of the movies. I’m definitely giving this a go.

He’s got over 15 million subs on YouTube.  Your anecdotal lack of awareness of him does not negate his popularity.

I haven’t read the book as it doesn’t fit my reading preferences, but I do like watching sci-fi stuff. Most of the complaints that I’ve read, about this show, deal with it being a poor adaptation.
Considering I have no frame of reference, is this a good show, if you take the book out of the equation?

He committed a public assault and battery.  Just stop with your false equivalences.  You only make yourself look foolish.

187 hp is plenty to get you from A to B. Not everything needs to be capable of 0-60 in 3 seconds and 200 mph. While the CX-5 is certainly one of the better handling crossovers in the market it’s not exactly meant to light anyone’s hair on fire.

being on the internet since the days of 9600bps modems would qualify, yes.

This isn’t a hill I’d be willing to die on but, um, you know how cellphones are a thing now? Yeah, Jobs might have had the idea but what generation do you think were the people that made that a reality?

Gen X: We went to concerts and didn’t need to hold up a phone throughout it.
