You know why the Pirates have a Heinz bottle on the outfield fence? They're always trying to ketchup. Go Giants!

Thanks! I still feel like there's so much to this story left untold (especially from the perspective of the people who were in Synanon during the 1970s) but that will have to wait for another blog post.

Great work Matt!

Quit being a dick. At the bottom is clearly states who the author is and that the article first appeared on mosaicscience.com. The fact still stands I don't read mosaic science so I appreciate gizmodo republishing it here.

Well written and informative! PLEASE editors, encourage this stuff more!

Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel. I made you out of PLA.

1. No. false crank torque is not what every dyno chart shows. your assumption makes no sense. Why, please do explain why a measurement taken at the wheel (roller) would magically create some false crank number.

There is actually a large amount of debate and thought that goes into it. IMO if you are not building this for a race series, pick one and stick with it. Depending on the transmission, number of gears, tire size, speed ratings, and output of the engine, either 3rd or 4th will be fine. While the numbers will vary from

No. lb-ft and ft-lb are two different measurements.

Again, this number can not be calculated with the given data.

I would not be willing to trust the torque number as the way these dynos produce a torque number is a mathematical algorithm based on the HP output and the engine RPM. These guys are using a tool known as an optical RPM sensor to grab RPMs off of the rear wheel. It is visible on the magnetic stand covering the center

The fact that he doesn't know what's going on or anything about teams, and then ends up in an Arsenal shirt by the end of the bar scene is an extremely accurate portrayal of American Arsenal fans.

I wish I had something clever to say, but nope, I just totally glossed over that line. I'll sit back down now.

It's been said a lot but still must be repeated:
