A completely underrated film. One of the best comedies of the 2000s.

He was hysterical in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Willie Mays, Donald Sutherland, and now Wily Taylor.
I don’t think it was about tires being mounted, maybe it was, but IIRC it was something to do with the wheels only being “good” for a certain number of miles before needing to be replaced. Everything about the maintenance on a Veyron was CRAZY expensive, but like they say if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.
Originally, you had to replace the wheels too, as the Michelin PAX system could only have tires mounted once or some such. Sounds like that has changed.
Just another way Musk is shooting Telsa in the foot with his wild ideas. If he hadn’t gone so over the top with his claims of what teh Roadster would do, they probably could have easily started pumping them out years ago and made good money from them.
Well to be fair all cars for, for a little bit lol.
I think they are still expensive, but IIRC the price has gone down. Looking at tirerack, for what it’s worth, a set looks to be about $5k for front and rears. Then again, you replace Bugatti tires due to age rather than wear since they get driven so little lol.
I really want Hyundai/Genesis to beat it to the punch and actually put their roadster concept into production. That thing looked jaw-dropping.
Musk promised...
It would be sweet with about a ton less road-hugging weight and a nice twin-cam four in the middle of it.
Er - the sort of tires fitted to Bugattis and other hypercars that can go 250mph+? Not like THAT is all that unusual these days for Billionaire’s wheeled codpieces. IIRC, they cost $50K+ per set, but whatevs, the billionaire set has money to burn.
That is a great looking roadster, though. Really wish I got to see those instead of the cybertrucks that have hit the road.
He’s got to talk the share price back up, and the rubes will buy it.
Be patient, understand what you are doing, or take the time to learn what you need to do.
I’ve had three generations of VW’s and never had major issues that any other similarly aged / worn car wouldn’t have.
You only need to replace a transmission once to learn that there’s no such thing as a “lifetime” fluid.
How building a kit car is an absolute money pit that will burn a giant hole in your bank account. My idiot choice to build? A ‘34 Ford Coupe.
Bargain basement brakes do not last as long as top shelf. I spent years doing my brakes once a year because I just assumed I used my brakes that much. Then I finally switched gears and bought the “gold” variety and was shocked to discover they lasted waaaaaay longer.
