You’d want to pull up next to random pedestrians and gravely say, ‘Get in. Da boss wants to talk to youse.’

Nice Price, especially if you’re an accountant or coroner who wants to look the part. I do despise this (still going) era of dreary, all-black interiors, but still this is a brawny, luxurious car that likely has years of comfortable, reliable miles left in it.

At first I thought it was going to be one of the ones with the suicide rear doors. This is not that one. But I think it’s a fair price for what it is.

Exactly. Seller is already wasting my time with his “1,” which indicates he’s an idiot who believes he’s some kind of marketing genius. Amazing how fast I don’t want to deal with this guy.

Those tinted windows, the lack of clarity on the mileage, the chrome wheels, the near three-decade age, the failing paint... this thing just feels sketch to me. Always listen to your gut. ND

Poster Child for getting a PPI; maybe two of them. You say a BMW window regulator doesn’t work? What’s this world coming to?

Completely irrational NP from me. Grew up seemingly surrounded by Wankels. Everything from a R/C Wankel to a Wankel powered Lotus Super 7 that used to take FTD at all the club events. Neighbor kid had a Racing Beated out Mazda Pickup. Could hear it coming a mile away.

The bike that almost killed Suzuki. It is an historic milestone on a path that went nowhere.

I don’t know anything about classic bikes but I know that you should willingly pay a premium for originality and condition, and this seems to be a needs-nothing jewel of a toy. I imagine this is an easy NP for someone that covets one of these.

Easily nice price. Of course, on the premise that you don’t ride it as a motorcycle. You only ride it as a ‘look at me, I got a really interesting thing!’ for 50 miles a year. You have to be a collector. I’m out of garage space.

I’m not especially well-versed in bikes, but I’ll vote NP on this unicorn. Suzuki spent an insane amount of R&D money on these, priced them higher than almost anything else on the market, and unsurprisingly pulled the plug soon after due to low sales. I can’t imagine there are many of these left in running or savable c

$9,000 is about what a running and riding RE-5 is worth on a website that isn’t Bring a Trailer. Easy Nice Price.

A good Honda CBX will cost you well over ten grand, a really nice Honda 400 Super Sport around 5 grand or so, maybe a little more for a Kawasaki H2. Welcome to the world of classic bikes. I would gladly pay this much for a unique motorcycle that doesn’t look like bug arching it’s back (i.e. most any modern sportbike).

it seemed to be the RWD version of the sporty Dodge Daytona (they were actually very different cars, but filled their respective niches in the same way).

I agree with your NP. This is a sharp car, that’s probably pretty fun to drive with that much torque on tap, 5 speed stick, and RWD. You would turn heads at car events and gather slow-walkers going past in parking lots. Why not?

NP for someone who wants one of these as they’re are few survivors and those who know, know. NP having actually driven one of these back in the day

I agree with what you said. But. There is a guy(s) somewhere who will pay this so in his honor, I’m going nice price.

Here’s an ‘87 that sold for $20.5K—the BaT premium—when the pandemic first hit:

“Adam Sandler’s sixth-ranked best friend? Let’s book him!”

Alt take: the booking person knew exactly who he is and shares his beliefs. Rob’s entire career has been people tossing him a bone for one reason or another.
