“paint looks dull” damn I typed it right and it changed it again, third time is a charm

This was my take too. Lowered Alpina? Nope!
Lowering an already modified luxobarge like this is an automatic ND. God knows how it’s been driven.
Yeah, I know it says it’s in Phoenix and the sun can be rough on things, but this thing does NOT look like you’re trying to sell it for $17k. It doesn’t look obviously dirty, but at the same time not really clean...
Is $7k a lot for one of these? Is it just the price of entry?
The undercoating is a red flag for me.
Even the blind despise those wheels.
...but a Porsche V8 that my Crosstrek could almost compete against going 0-60?
For the 47th time, just because you know how to use Google and found a better deal, doesn’t mean that the one featured above still isn’t a good deal itself. NP.
NP, but TBH, I do not see the chrome wheels as a plus.
This. The low price makes me wonder what problems are being covered up. I’ve bought a low-priced, freshly-painted, vintage Porsche before, and regretted it. But man, I love the 928, and I want to believe!
Literally the perfect take on the situation. For me, the slushbox is kind of a plus - this car isn’t fast and it’s never going to be, nor is that its mission. It’s casual - and the slushbox is perfectly fitting - I don’t want to work too hard at being casual. It’s cool, in a ‘sport coat’ kind of way of being cool.…
the gall of saying Porsche’s iconic Guards Red isn’t the better color smh
It’s a nice price according to Hagerty and Classic.com, but a Porsche V8 that my Crosstrek could almost compete against going 0-60? ND.
I’m on the fence. The ad is in Dealer Scream and I look on that as a red flag. IF (and that is a big IF) the car is as presented, it is NP. But I have my doubts.
The parts might not be that bad since they’re all from other GM cars. That said, if you ever have more than one thing go wrong at once, you’re going to be at the pick and pull all day getting parts from old Cobalts and GMC SUVs, which could get annoying from a logistical standpoint.
I agree this is meh (because the special addition doesn’t add much, and definately not an aesthetic that I think improves the car) but I think the $3k premium over the automatic is valid, if not a bit low. I think they’ll have a harder time selling that auto at $10k.
This car fills me with meh. Looks kinda goofy (just my taste), and it’s one of those “special editions” that gives you nothing special other than a different color and unwanted embroidery on the seats. The seller seems to be putting a $3K premium on the rarity over the other GXP he has, although that might be worth it…
Its in Hertz’s best interest to get that 10k as customer service is not an interest of theirs whatsoever.
Hertz is doing something stupid and having it blow up on social media is as predictable as a rainy day in Seattle
