Just wondering—according to your logic is it only labor that’s allowed to violate its contract, or is management also allowed to violate their contract? For example, if the union has a pension, should management be allowed to say “screw the pension, they’re on their own”?

I think in the future, if we ever open the SpaceX books we’re going to find that a lot of it is propped up with government backing, which means it really isn’t a private company in the purest sense. That’s just my read on it.

The Dems somehow always think the GOP will come and work for the greater good....when a Dem wins office, and has all the houses...the media talks about the need to come together and unite the nation, Trump wins office by the narrowest margin of the popular vote of any president in decades...has an even smaller house

“you nazi apologist”

Except the far left is made up.  Bernie Sanders is barely left of center measured in other countries.  The Mainstream GOP is now far right.  The Dems have been center right on economic issues since Clinton, and, arguably, since Tip O’Neil.  The extreme left wants universal healthcare, universal college tuition,

at their extremes oligarchy and communism end up being the same. People talk about communism as if its an economic system. Marx would say communism has never been properly implemented. Now i dont think communism would work, but its never gone in anywhere where marx thought it should. He thought germany or the uk. You

I’m struggling to find a prior government service where privatization has helped. In the spirit of intellectual honesty, SpaceX is possibly an area, although the economics and true costs are a bit of gray area. One could also argue that putting so much crap into orbit is not a good idea, just made it cheaper to litter.

Sure, but it was exacerbated by other things. Any time you create a situation where you have to replace every person doing a given job with people who have no training for that job, this happens.

Came here to write this. The implications in the headlines are absurd. Yes, his actions will probably make an ATC staffing crisis worse, but be honest, and don’t try to connect a dot that isn’t there. This is peak clickbait trolling.

I’m all for your freedoms, but look around, it’s been a week and the mass imprisonment of innocent people has already started.

Timothy, you know you shouldn’t say stuff like this in public ;-)

Too bad it wasn’t AF1. Would have solved a lot of problems.

Weren’t those troubles started by Reagan in the first place? Disband them fully then and watch, let the planes themselves figure it out. Once the bodies start piling on, maybe Elon’s cronies will start to see that he isn’t as smart as he thinks he is.

Wait a sec....for reals, my health insurance wont cover me outside of the US? Holy shit, this is news to me. If I’m hit by a car while vacationing in France, I gotta pay full-freight on whatever made-up price they charge me?

Is a badging delete an option on the rear lid of the 2008 Cayman? Or is there something else sketchy going on?

Honestly this is is a borderline case in my eyes, but it tips ND due to the smoldering assholery of the seller’s text. I know the Borla doesn’t add “significant” power, the fake carbon fiber crap isn’t tasteful, and sticking a piece of wood on the headliner isn’t a fix.

in KY one of the only ways to get a black plate is to get the one that supports the coal industry. I see people with black cars get these to have the murdered out look continue to the plate area.

some people like bland. They are easier to read in my opinion. I wish the USA had euro style plates, I prefer that style

In CA the black plates have a certain nostalgia as they were the only plate available into the 80s when they were replaced by the plates with the sun at the top. They made them available as an optional plate and they became very popular, particularly if you had an old car that maybe came with one originally.

Here’s something that puzzles me: this current trend for (legal, state-issued) black plates. You get them from the DMV, same as the regular plates, the vanity plates, and the special plates you can get that have your alma mater on them or some pretty wildlife picture or “support our troops” or whatnot. Only difference
