Yeah but you don’t buy an old car because it’s objectively good. You buy it for the style and novelty factor. Part of the fun of owning something like this is how hilariously bad it is compared to even the crappiest modern car.

I would consider this because mint versions of common cars like this Comet are actually more rare these days than “desirable” cars from that time because people generally didn’t care about them. They used them up and scrapped them without giving them a second thought... unlike the desirable/high end cars of that time.

I’m old and in good condition too. Where’s my museum pricing?

I made a large coughing noise to cover my inappropriate snort of laughter at work here in the lobby of a funeral home.

There’s always a club for this...

If there was a car screaming for decent seats, a 289, a three speed overdrive [4 speed MT] and a locking differential for it’s 9-inch, this is it. As most of the parts that that fit a Mustang will fit a Maverick or Comet...

Yep. I have no interest, but I can look at that, see the bright yellow paint that looks original, and that wonderfully brown interior with the striped seats. If there was a collector status version of this car, this is it, and $10k seems more than fair. ND for me, NP for someone else, most definitely.

Why would I try?  ND

I think thats a very reasonable price for a vehicle of that vintage. Find me a nicer one at a better price.

Because they always seem to have interior colors that are blacker than the Satan’s heart.

This wins, I forgot how awful these were. To make it worse, this is a press photo, meaning that this is literally the cleanest and nicest this can ever look. All of the actual calibers left on the road (literally tens of them I’m assuming) assuredly look even worse than this does.

I call your 1990's GM and raise you early 2000s Dodge Caliber. I had a new, low mileage rental once.

This thing could be a 1 of 1 special edition, and it’d be ruined with all these mods.  It is just another modded Miata now.

That’s the plan, I still have quite a few years in it, but I know it’s not a “forever” car :(

Sandblast and Rustoleum! No idea if this would help but I’ll all for the long haul. My daily is a year older that this one.

Everyone else here has pointed out the basic flaw in your argument, so I’ll just add this: you’re a moron.

Just because you’d break the law if you thought you could cross in front of the pedestrian, doesn’t mean the Tesla should.  It clearly says yield to pedestrians, that doesn't mean beat them, it means wait for them, from when they enter the crosswalk.

I wonder what those big yellow signs with the arrow pointing to the crosswalk means? And that one in the center with the image of a pedestrian with a...what’s it called again...YIELD sign above it mean?? The mind boggles!!

There’s still time to take this post down, Karen. Your village wants their idiot back...

I’m riffing off something I read elsewhere but, a world where AI gets to write poetry and paint pictures all day while I get run over by autonomous vehicles on my way to a minimum wage job is not the future I was promised.
