Damn it, I thought it was what happened when six Mormons forced to live together stop being Polite Salt Lake and start being Real.

The most underrated band of the ‘90s was Poop Towel.

“The First Family is very active in water sports.”

To this day my favorite bit of lore about Super Bowl XXV is that it’s the Super Bowl that got Paul Zimmerman (Sports Illustrated’s “Dr. Z”, for those whose memories go way back) kicked out of the voting pool for Super Bowl MVP. He got kicked out because he wouldn’t let up on how awesome Thurman Thomas was in that

I agree with your general point, but I’ve got to take exception to your characterization of what Belichick did to the K-Gun. The Bills’ offense scored 17 points in 19 minutes in Super Bowl XXV, and Thurman Thomas looked like Tecmo Bo in that game. It wasn’t Belichick’s D that won that game, but rather the Giants’

The Browns are just never-forgetting 9/11 by going after the wrong guy.

Yes,  That is correct.  Unlike Alabama, the Phillies pay their athletes.

This read like a article in an anthropological journal about some uncontacted tribe in the Amazon.

Maybe she’ll talk about paying student athletes when she writes an article about it.

Weird criticism of her article. Student athletes aren’t being paid anytime soon, and in any event college athletes being paid is a topic that has been written about as nauseum. And the thrust of her argument doesn’t change regardless of whether college athletes are paid. It’s not like she’s arguing against them

Son, the facebook is over there.  You’ll fit in much better.

I want to grind this comment to a fine powder and snort it.

lol

if they’re looking for candidates, i know a guy who has a baseball background as a player and a business background as an exec for a video game company. he’s also got a real handle on social media and can probably procure state funding like a badass.

thanks, i was wondering what the “she was asking for it” crowd had to say about this.

Not so much “set the tone” as harmonized with the tone that has resonated through this franchise for decades.

I appreciate the rules you share on how to take responsibility for people who can’t act responsibly.

Having never been touched like that by a woman before, it was all he could do to prematurely eject her.
