I’ve said this before but it bears repeating: you don’t always want greasy food with questionable hygiene standards ... Chipotle just tastes fresher... Although apparently along the supply chain they are also suffering from questionable hygiene standards...

My guess would be cilantro or lettuce, though I think the cilantro is in everything. Herbs, lettuce, and other leafy greens are usual culprits in e. coli outbreaks.

It’s fast food. It’s not displacing Mexican restaurants in the average Chipotle-eater’s diet, it’s displacing burgers and fries and other worse fast food.

Oh my god, are you me? I was in Mexico recently and was struck by how objectively happy so many people I can across seemed to be - it seemed genuine and down to earth and lacked this stressed out STRIVE for some inoccouous bullshit goal. It just blew my mind that they were happy without being the BEST or having all

I don’t confuse Chipotle with Mexican food (like Taco Bell is not Mexican, or Food), not to be a snob. Our Chipotle location does a great job. Also, some of the Mexican places near up use Sysco prepackaged meat ingredients from god knows where. Fresh matters.

Idk why somebody has to ask this question every single time because it’s not particularly baffling. It’s the same reason anybody gets fast food - you’re not going to Chipotle for authentic Mexican cuisine, you’re going to Chipotle because you want Chipotle

No, the commenter is pointing out that the shooter was a radical Muslim and the Koran is applicable, not the Bible, and made no comparison, nor did the commenter condemn anyone.

Well said, we are collectively being smothered by special snowflakes in this culture.

Yup, most Muslim countries are pluralistic Meccas that champion women’s and gay rights, freedom of speech, and sexual liberation.

Ummmm yes? Go there right now. What adorns the front page? I’ll make a handy list for you:

The difference is that many, many Christian religious leaders encourage dissent, critical thinking, and a metaphorical reading of the Bible. Most US Christians, for example, don’t believe Noah actually put every single animal on the planet on an arc.

Maybe because it was actually an infant daughter and therefore worth less (in her eyes, given her upbringing in Saudi Arabia) than a boy? I do wonder if she would have done this if she had a “valuable” male heir to raise.

Yes! People see my opinion of “no guns for anyone” as “extreme” but I work in public health and I have no idea why people think that something that has 0 advantage as owning a gun and lots of risks for the gun owner and his household members and even friends is seen as anything but a public health threat. I’m willing

Mass shootings just this year. Just. This. Year. Interactive map at the link. I don’t know, maybe it’s time to do something about the proliferation of military hardware in this country?

Well based on a strict literal reading of the Koran, she likely believed she would see her child in heaven in the afterlife. So if you believe in such things, it makes perfect sense.

Exactly. It’s an illusion, people, an illusion industry, and always has been. Stop acting like it’s central to people’s lives or has some deeper meaning.

“Who’s applying the polish.” Is a great line.

I work in the entertainment industry and am trying to get out because I had an epiphany very similar to what you just wrote. I found myself nodding furiously. I cringe when I look at my social media feed and see people SO into certain stars...the buy in on the illusion is just pathetic.

Yes, well that aside, you know what America doesn’t need? More people devoting their lives and time and talent to fashion and acting.
