The technology is rarely the issue, it’s the endemic and bottomless graft that will siphon million out of the project.  Everyone will by trying to “wet their beak” during the process, and try to prolong so that they can go back for seconds.

CyberTruck drivers - this doesn’t apply to you. Feel free to traverse streams, floor plains, etc... in your highly advanced vehicle. The rules for a Nissan Versa simply do not apply to you. Also, park anywhere you want. You’ve earned it.

2028? Ha. I’ll believe it when I see it. This will get milked and slow-walked by anyone and everyone with a finger in the pie. There will be lawsuits, countersuits, appeals, delays, and maybe, just maybe, there will be a new bridge open by 2034.

If you’re thinking of buying one, it could be a great experience to rent it for a few days just to use at home.

“Per the company, the cab “detected that there may be a risk of a person within that crowd who had fallen down, and decided to carefully initiate a passing maneuver when the opposing lane was clear to move around what could be an obstacle and a safety concern.””

God thanks you for your feedback and will attempt to make adjustments.

They should really teach financial literacy in schools.

Bro, listen to reason! Sell the Tesla and buy more Ethereums, bro! You’ll be rolling in so much Crypto, it’ll pay for itself! Then cars will buy you! I’m genius!

At least yours likely has better resale value.

Half of this country is financially illiterate. Nothing new. It’s the same as people paying $2k/month for a fully loaded pick up truck, and asking for gofundme help. Or people taking out loans to pay for weddings.

Laughing at a crypto bro before realizing I’m on the hook for a $47k Civic.

The government didn’t mandate that Ford kill off all of its affordable offerings. Ford was simply following the cynical “build less, charge more” pricing model that a number of car manufacturers thought they could get away with in the wake of pandemic supply chain issues.

They all thought they could be Tesla on day 1.

It seems like most of the automakers have given up on the small affordable car which was supposed to be the entry point into their brands. They might not be hugely profitable - but they get the buyers back in the showroom 4-7 years down the line when they’re ready to upgrade.

Tesla sounds like my kitchen contractor, lots of promises of wonderful things and deadlines that keep jumping forward

You really need a reason to drop $3500 on a niche product with very few use cases right now. I don’t think Apple (or any headset maker) has presented very many compelling reasons.

Autonomous Robotaxis- this is how much the US hates the idea of just improving public transit. Like, seriously, you could take a fraction of the amount of cash it will take to develop a functional autonomous taxi and just invest in improved public transit everywhere. Oh look, we’ve made buses and trains and trams and

#4 should be #1 it is way more important. I hope the UAW steam rolls the south auto plants. No more kids working for KIA and other BS they getting away with.

Nope, gotta save that money for their 4Chan Troll God.

Ooohhhh! A grainy, indistinct video of a bigfoot UFO ghost something. And a rear admiral/Fox News story. Right up there with Ret. Michael Flynn, election looney.
