It’s like hitting the surface with 1,000 tiny hammers. It compresses the metal’s grain structure near the surface, which increases resistance to fatigue and corrosion. But it has to be controlled. You can definitely over-peen a part which actually hurts those attributes.

The Aisin was a 6-speed automatic. The discontinued RAM manual 6-speed was the Getrag G56.

It’s not an NG. It’s a MAX. The engine Inlet and Thrust Reverser outer sleeve trailing edge are LEAP-1B.

Man, with rusty pipes like that, I guarantee the “builder” took the time to properly re-jet and tune the carburetors.

This checks out. I work with some older people who do exactly the same thing. I’ve discussed it with them and they simply do not care to conform to professional standards. They have their way and everyone else can get used to it.

Back in the 80s, my dad had a ‘69 Corvette. I remember riding around in the passenger seat (no carseat of course) and not being able to see over the dashboard at all. I had to just look out the T-Tops. I didn’t fully appreciate that car back then, but I did know it wasn’t like most other cars on the road. It looked, sm

C6 Z06 had the LS7. This is a C5 Z05, which has the LS6.

“Tried to get promoted worked so hard interviewed over 15 times never was promoted and never told why!! Picked the person that had no experience and was lazy ever time. Hard work gets you know where at the depot.”

In theory, it’s to slowly start uphill in low traction situations, like if you stall going up a snowy hill. You can start the engine in gear. In reality, I use the bypass switch (in neutral) every time just to avoid wear on the crank end bearings during startup.

Yeah. Manuals are harder to sell. I got almost $10,000 off MSRP (was $36,000, I paid $27,500) on a new Frontier last year because the dealer couldn’t get anyone to buy a 6 speed truck. You can find a good deal if you’re willing and able to wait and sift through all the junk.

Whelp, best to not even try then.

I read that as a proper title. Birthplace of The Salt Mormons. Go Fightin’ Salt Mormons!

It sounds like they are fitting a version of the VVEL system used in the VQ37VHR from the 370Z. Instead of an intake cam, they call it an “eccentric rod” and it can adjust intake valve lift and duration, in addition to timing. The exhaust cam maintains variable timing. Maybe the new Titan engine will be the VK56VHR?

Pretty sure that video was shot by Eric Foreman from That 70s Show...

My thought is to never ever tip less than $7 for acceptable service, and then tip about 20% if that is over $7. I feel bad if I spend time trying to figure out the exact minimum to pay someone for a service that they have given me. Servers get a lot of shit form a lot of shitty people. They shouldn’t have to run

Google “Papa John healthcare” or something similar.

I worked for the company that built the prototype system for the original Evergreen 747. The tanks are aluminum sheets with lap joints, similar to the construction of a Boeing fuselage. The tank endcaps are single piece spun aluminum discs. The heat generated by the spin forming process heat treated them as they

Maybe as a safety to prevent runaway or, ironically, “dieseling”.
