I think you’re...really overstimating how much having a period is a defining experience of someone’s life. I mean, yes, having periods is different from not having periods. Some people have very difficult periods and some people have very easy periods, that is a pretty huge difference as well. Having chronic back pain

Not all cis women menstruate. I stopped when I was 30, and I wish I had stopped earlier.

I think if you have a light flow, they work fine. I also really liked them for the last few days when you’re like, is my period over? Oh I guess not quite?

Problem with tampons is that I would bleed through them too quickly! Like in the time between boarding the flight and the seatbelt sign being turned on, easily. At least menstrual cups you can leave in longer, but just not long enough sometimes. So grateful for birth control so I will never have to experience that

Period underwear can be great as back-up in some contexts but just FYI sometimes when you’re using a menstrual cup and it overflows it comes out in a big WHOOSH and no period underwear can contain that. Happened to me multiple times, including once on a airplane.

I am just not willing to take my mask off around my coworkers and I have to do that to put pizza in my mouth.

Low dose birth control did that to me too! I was bleeding so much I came very close to going to the ER and the cramps were so bad, it was one of the most painful experiences of my life.

I have frequent migraines and doctors have always said that it’s fine to be on birth control because I don’t have migraine with aura. I don’t take it for pregnancy prevention though so the end of the article is irrelevant to me...

I believe it’s specifically an issue if you have migraine with aura. (I say this not as any kind of medical professional with any kind of expertise, just a person with chronic migraines who is asked whether I have aura with my migraines every time birth control comes up. I do not.)

This is more about workplaces having the expectation that you will be always connected, not people wanting to be connected.

Oh wait, I didn’t realize it was mentioned in the slideshow until now, because who actually clicks all the way through a slideshow...I get it now.

But doesn’t taste like beer, and beer is good.

Didn’t bother clicking on this until I saw who wrote it, very excited to see one of my favorite Bachelor recappers on this site!

I never really assumed it was permanent but kind of a bummer because I just got gay married a few months ago!

I guess with all that background I am confused about why you are blaming someone who has had student loans for a decade...they are not a teenager right now.

If tracking your cycle is the solution...well that doesn’t help people like me, who are not concerned about pregnancy but take birth control in order to not have periods. Wonder what their solution to that is!

I can tell you for sure what when I was 17 years old I for sure did not know what I was getting myself into. Because I was 17. I didn’t know anything.

I have not eaten dairy on purpose for 17 years but I have been unwittingly fed it a few times in sandwiches and burritos over the years when I requested no cheese and honestly I’ve been surprised that if it’s just some generic slice of cheese in a sandwich (or melted shredded cheese in a burrito) and there are other

I mean, I actively assume that, I also just visualize getting into accidents every night while I fall asleep, it’s going great.

As someone who is currently learning how to drive (drove on the freeway for the first time today), I don’t think it occurred to me that people just...weren’t checking their blind spots?
