I got really into sourdough this summer and I am not looking forward to dealing with colder temps. Though I am looking forward to it not already being 90 degrees when I turn my oven on I guess.

What is even happening in the comments here? Homophobia is real and Kristen Stewart is perfect.

If I was going to guess how much of my queerness came from genetics, 1/3 seems about right. So tired of born this way narratives that exclude a ton of us. Being queer is great and I would choose it again and again.

That’s a common misconception. It’s not illegal to ask. It’s (in most cases, currently) illegal to base hiring decisions on the answer, so companies don’t ask in order to cover their asses.

As an adult who hates black pepper, ranch seasoning would not fool me, and also...I just make other pasta dishes.

Yes, most of the time they do. Hannah had sex with one of them four times in a windmill.

There’s a whole lot of processing involved to breed a live animal and turn it into a burger.

I've been vegan for 14 years and vegetarian for 17. I like fake meat. The idea of eating real meat is gross and sad to me, but a lot of fake meat tastes good to me so I eat it.

They tested what messaging works best to accomplish their goals, now they’re rolling out that messaging. Makes sense to me. (I worked for a NARAL affiliate a long time ago and this sort of thing was pretty common back then as well.)

Well it makes sense to look at how the NWSL team with the highest attendance got that way. It didn’t happen by magic. I’ve got Thorns season tickets and I think the whole #OneClub thing, as they hashtag it, is valuable.

Sincy generally gets cheers equal to Tobin because she’s our captain and we love her very much.

I don't think marketing the Timbers and Thorns together hurts them at all. Portland soccer fans love both teams and a ton of the marketing is joint. People wear their Thorns gear to Timbers games and vice versa.

Some adoptees feel that way, but some adoptees do have a strong drive to find their biological relatives. That’s a common story we like to tell about adoption, and it’s true for some people, but a lot of adoptees feel like they can’t voice their feelings about being adopted because they are told throughout their lives

I live in Portland and I think the recommendation here is to have enough emergency supplies for at least two weeks, which is intimidating in a small apartment. I do have seven gallons of water and a few cans of extra cat food...so that’s my start. This year I need to work on my kit, though! I’m not sure exactly what

I assume no one will see this because it’s a late entry but I think writing it will be cathartic so here we go.

Um, are there defined roles like that for hetero couples?

As someone who is working on paying off credit card debt (that I don’t regret going into, it was necessary at the time), it just requires some math and careful planning.

So much advice on the internet assumes that everyone has a car, is that tone deaf too?

Considering that everything else on the internet is written for people who drive everywhere, it’s nice to see advice for people who don’t have cars, like myself and a whole lot of other broke people.

Making more money is easy? I guess no one should be living in poverty then...
