I’m going to plug some fantastic adventure / escape the room type games I have found over the past few weeks (some of these are old but new for me) for those who like that genre (all available on iOS):

Congratulations! I haven’t got around to playing Shovel Knight yet, but from what I hear, finishing it off is quite an accomplishment.

Oh yeah, that’s cool news about Sonic Mania Plus. I’m picking up the physical version because I love that game so much and $20 felt like a steal anyway. The surprising depth of encore mode is icing on the cake!

Due to the World Cup (farking England being England) and trying to get some writing done for Camp NaNoWriMo (I’m only a week behind word count schedule, yay!) not a lot of gaming.

The big exception, as has been the case for the last few weeks is Pokémon Go. Took part in the Squirtle Community Weekend, and ran into

Ys VIII was originally a Vita game, which is why the visuals aren't top tier. I'm enjoying it a whole lot anyway though.

Exactly! Except I entered that area from the opposite end (just a sewer pipe opening into the river near the Citadel), so I came to Gallo’s place last, which I experienced as perfect staging/level design. My destination at that moment was Greyditch, so coming out at the Sewer Waystation was pretty convenient. Except

The Sewer Waystation! Love it. Though I think my favourite “designers having some fun here” location is the lair of the feral ghoul who collects plungers.

The only advice I’ll give you for Fallout 3 is don’t rush the main story.

I have made a couple of expensive blunders, such as selling a load of my fuel to some beekeepers by mistake or buying another deck gun that I couldn’t use, by not reading the information properly.

I liked Sunless Sea quite a bit for a while there, but as with all rogue-(like-)likes, I got frustrated after a while with constantly dying. I did have a bad habit of sailing out just a bit too far at any given moment, which made me a bit too hungry for fuel and a bit too vulnerable to stumbling upon gigantic sea

I continue to pick new games up and put them down with callous disregard for my backlog (the Steam Sale sure as heck didn’t help). So my limited gaming time this week has been a bit all over the place. I’m enjoying Heat Signature quite a bit, as expected, and actually accumulating enough gear and/or skill to actually

What Have You Finished This Week?

I’ve been rather stressed recently, so it seems odd I am finding solace in a game where every journey threatens nightmares, death or worse; Sunless Sea.

Salutations~!

It’s finally time for me to get started on Octopath Traveler, which is arriving on Friday at my home. I’ve already played through the demo and am ready to jump right in!

Oh, Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight, how I love thee. I’ve pretty much done most of everything - saved all the grubs, close to getting that 1800 Essence, combed the wonderful world that is Hollownest, and feeling ready to at least try the final, final boss (and maybe the last tier of the Coliseum?). It’s

A lot of it is about speed and angles and figuring out the best way to hit the ball without a lot of control.

Oh definitely, I play on PC. More players the better.

I’m not too worried about it. I haven’t played it before, but I do have a relatively spoiler-free ending guide bookmarked for just his reason. To be honest, I'll be happy with the game's standard ending.
