I got a notification of my Samus Returns Special Edition preorder pending on my credit card (to which my wife said, “Did you get ANOTHER game?” “No, it’s one of the ones you already know about...”), and this makes my purchase all the more exciting. There was a nice rhythm to blocking and whipping in Castlevania: Yadda

Professor! Hi! We’ve missed you, for sure. The Space Pope has been doing double duty as Futurama-based commenter in your absence.I don’t have Stardew Valley, so I can’t comment on it, but I did want to wish you well on getting some gaming in during your care of Qubert. Those “little bit or a lot” needs apply to me as

Good to see you back! We’re going to need some time to settle into the new place; like new shoes, there’ll be some blisters and wishing you could keep wearing the old ones, but we’ll get through it together. You’re also the second person today that has made me feel remorse for not getting a PSVita. I am disappointed

Try starting the reload from scratch - I think (think!) that if I try to load from my “dashboard” link, it forgets how much of the thread is left.

Your write to blame them for that. Theirs know other excuse. ;-)

It’s the one grating thing from some of those Zen tables is the lack of realism in the toys and functionality. The four base tables on 3DS are OK, and the Marvel ones seem like they start to get away from that, but I’d also like a simulator of real machines so I can at least pick out a table I like and understand it

Actually, it feels like a narrative progression...I never felt that the cipher in XCX was “me”, but then again SPOILER according to the story it isn’t. I kinda like the battle area being more definted. Nothing is worse than accidentally stumbling across a swarm of Level 60 spider thingies and trying to run halfway

I’m not going to read your post, because of ending spoilers for a game I’ve been meaning to finish for my DL’s Double Down Summer...I got Xenoblade 3D a couple of weeks ago, and I’m only an hour or so in. It’s very different from X, but it’s instantly familiar in structure.I’ll work on MGS3 over the next few weeks,

I know! Gosh, if I have to hand-water the crops in that climate, then I either need to switch crops or leave Mineral Town. Farming is about efficiency; anything less is gardening.

Whoa. I have two Zen Pinball titles on 3DS, and while I’m probably not in the market for more pinball, I’m curious about how comfortable it is to play with using flippers on the buttons/D-Pad?

EA’s giving a good lesson to learn in life - if you work really hard at something and fail, then don’t bother putting any more effort into it and give up.

Yeah, losing the ability to edit is annoying, because sometimes I’ve made edits to fix my comments because of the replies, and being able to clarify something within the post is important.

I’m so glad No Man’s Sky is coming into its own. Their ability to make a compelling, “living” universe from literally the ground up means that competitors should be able to do the same. One of my least favorite parts of the otherwise procedurally-generated Elite: Dangerous is that there are some things that aren’t

It won’t let me edit my original post, but let me edit others. Is there a time or size limit? Ugh...
Anyway, I forgot to mention I discovered a cute mobile game called Tiny Rails through a Gamasutra blog post. It’s charming and relaxing for a train management sim, as much of the plot involves watching the scenery go

That’s the GBA one, right? I enjoyed that one until I realized I was three years in and hadn’t spoken to nary a town maiden in a way that would encourage her to fall in love with my character. I didn’t see how there was enough time to farm (well, water crops), raise animals, go mining, and soak in the hot spring, and

That is one benefit of this new system; formatting is intuitive and it doesn’t arbitrarily choose to deny you a post.

That’s a really cool shot, and it’s very Muybridge indeed.

I think dust-covered PSVita is the most charming epithet that can be given to that little device. I still feel like I missed out by not getting one, as it fits with my Dreamcast, 3DO, and 32X...a noble intention that, for one reason or another, simply failed.

Very well said, Venerable! Certainly something happened in football games around the time that Madden bought out all comers - the series doubled-down on simulation and complexity in a way to both complement the increase fidelity of player collisions and AI and to give the fans that needed more from getting bored or

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we at the Gameological Society used to be a little more independent, so we didn’t get picked up on other sites like Deadspin and such. We’ve had a lovely, relatively insulated community where absolutely no one trolls under any circumstances.Since our website got moved over into this
