I kept pausing that second episode so I could distract myself with twitter or tumblr. I'm surprised I even finished watching it.

I didn't think the pilot was that great. It wasn't necessarily the writing, it was the casting that killed it for me. The main girl and beefcake dude are so bland and forgettable. I couldn't pick them out of a lineup of Abercrombie & Fitch models.

The only thing worse than Nazis is Double Nazis.

You might be the only person to refer to Dev Patel as "The guy from The Newsroom"

But…Maggie and Jim have to end up together! She screamed at a Sex and the City tour bus!

Yeah, I had an impossible time reading Dano's character. I know that was sort of the point, but it seemed like he was totally goading Jackman. That scene of him choking the dog was downright awful, and I feel like no one, low IQ or not, would purposely do that in front of someone as volatile as Jackman's character… I

I found it highly unbelievable that Gyllenhaal wouldn't have made the connection with the body in the basement to the entire investigation much earlier, because that necklace was so memorable.

There is a lot of nostalgia in Her. The smaller phone, the "handwritten" notes, the clothes. It rang very true for me.

Such a great end to the series.

People let me tell you 'bout my new best friend, Barnaby Jones!

I have yet to see Dallas Buyers Club but I've heard Leto is freaking amazing.

I'm surprised Daniel Bruhl isn't getting more widespread recognition for Rush. I was including him with Oscar Isaac and Chiwetel Ejiofor in a small group of actors who were getting long overdue recognition in 2013. I guess Rush has been mostly forgotten by a lot of awards voters? I hope he gets an Oscar nomination

It's nominated for Sound and Screenplay, so it didn't miss the deadline. At the very least Oscar Isaac should have been recognized.

If Lupita and Chiwetel don't win I'll be pretty bummed. Definitely the most incredible performances this year. I wonder if Fassbender will get a nomination?

Gandolfini was great in Enough Said. He had such great chemistry with JLD.

I mean, if I were to pick the best, most deserving film of the year I would have to go with 12 Years A Slave. I think it was an incredibly important film and it made such an impact on me, personally. I've never seen slavery portrayed so starkly and with such a humanity. I'll be pretty upset if Ejiofor doesn't win the

No love for Llewyn Davis.

That Mavis Staples biography sounds amazing, I'll have to pick it up.

"Billy Joel is definitely still alive and he is most definitely not a Knight"

Samesies!!! I didn't expect that emotional punch.
