Your last point about our system is close to the crux. We have a first-past-the-post system, so whichever party gets a *plurality* of votes wins. If 20 left and center-left parties each come in with 4% of the vote, and the New Nazi League of America pulls 5%, we get the Nazis.

I'd like to add my hearty "fuck you" to those who chose not to vote or voted 3rd party (same difference) because they didn't think keeping this human filth out of the White House was reason enough to bring themselves to possibly vote for someone like Clinton.
