Yup. When she brought the spike up towards the eyes, that was the FIRST time I had to turn away from the screen since starting the show.

Can't wait to see Sonia cover season two, myself. Hopefully she hasn't seen it.
"Unauthorized breeding," right above a still of Jeff Goldblum. Sometimes, I love this site.
I think it's a point well-taken that one bad decision or even bad season won't kill a show. Also, even a weak-looking show can be redeemed by a solid outing the following year. And I say this as someone who stopped watching this season about 5 or 6 eps back because I was bored.
See, I was kind of hoping that the real root of his anger was less the lie about Thea's paternity then the emotional manipulation Moira pulled on Felicity. It didn't come out, so we don't even know if Felicity told Ollie what Moira said, but that was the real low-down dirty move on her part, and I wondered if that's…
Wow, yes. I really felt that the characters on the Island were (for the most part) terribly used. My favorite characters from the beginning were Sayid, Jin and Sun, and geez, did the show ever NOT know what to do with them. Ok, they're candidates. Whoopee. Doesn't mean they haven't become one-note bores, and then…
That's why I stopped watching Lost in the middle of S2. It felt like I was waiting interminably for the show to come back and just spin its gears for 45 minutes.
From what I understand, they scrapped the idea of making Joan former military because of the sad reality of the widespread treatment of women in the armed forces. They didn't want to burden her with the sorts of experiences that women in uniform are likely to have, but nor did they feel it right to include that…
I disagree that "all the article does is criticize Sherlock for being worse at being a standard procedural." I don't think it's even part of what Zach is doing here.
True, some of his criticisms of Sherlock are based on the 3-episode model that Sherlock is broadcast in, but that doesn't make the observations less…
I kind of thought the end might be Scott realizing that *he's* an evil ex—of Knives.
I was betting Xander and Anya would be on this list. I really thought their ending was one of the worst pieces of Buffy season 6.
I'm glad I'm not the only one taken in by the scene. Half of me was thinking "he has to see it; he's suspicious of her keeping him," the other half was thinking "he never paid KENARD no nevermind, did he? Run, Chalky, run!"
I also think Jack was a vastly improved character, in terms of writing, later in the show. Felt the same way about Sawyer. At first, the writers were trying too hard with both characters, but once the show eased off their love triangle thing, they were able to grow in some interesting directions.
Wow, after reading that Sara Colleton quote, and seeing (well, reading) where this show wound up with her producing, I'm kind of glad she bowed out of Hannibal.
Well said. I like Superman more than you do (the movie and the character), but you reflect a lot of what I felt MoS got right and wrong. Given the money he's made the studio, I know they're going to have to stick with Snyder, and I think that's a shame, because many of the films weaknesses are clearly his, but he…
Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads.
Paula Poundstone and Roy Blount, Jr. They regularly crack my shit up. I like most of the rest; Faith Salie is pretty damn funny too.
@e.buzz-miller : It's a movie about the importance of stories and story-telling.
Ya know, I eventually liked both Boone and Shannon. Something's wrong with me, I will admit.
Let's see what damage a comma can do:
