My experience at Texas Motor Speedway is that they do wand everybody and they look inside of every bag/purse/cooler that comes inside. I assume people slip by security every so often. My anecdotal evidence isn’t proof of anything but that’s all I’ve got.

Are NASCAR events different than the major four sporting events in terms of security? I’ve been to football, baseball, hockey, and basketball games, and have had to go through a metal detector, been wanded, and/or been searched at all of the above. Is it different for NASCAR races?
