What I absolutely don’t need right now is an emotional roller coaster that is hard to watch. Why would I do that to myself?

My operative assumption is that everyone on these shows is lying, and that they are doing it for the sheer thrill of being on these shows. That’s backed up by the two people that I know that went on shows like this, both of whom just made their entire narrative up.
Having said that, the exception proves the rule, and…
No.
That was an O Henry story, I think.
What about the average Canadian?
I don’t think there’s any particular love in the intelligence community for Flynn; I doubt that his departure will further sour the relationship between the community and the administration. Maybe the opposite, if Trump appoints someone who is actually competent and respected in his place.
Fundamentally this has always been my problem with Schlindlers List. It was, at bottom, a feel good movie. The narrative arc showed you a hero saving lives. It is wildly unfortunate (and misleading) that the only movie about the Holocaust many people will see has a happy ending.
Sorry to pile on.
So about 30 minutes from now?
Actually not an ICBM, either—just a IRBM.

It’s a good proposal, and I’ve thought about similar ideas in the past. The problems come from measurement (i.e., where are you measuring average price? There’s a lot of regional variation) and unpredictability (how do you fund infrastructure projects if you don’t know how much income you’ll have one week to the…
They aren’t so different from any other car. The RWD ones behave like a big, RWD sedan, though they have good weight distribution so they’re better than some.
Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude.
Yes! I’ve always thought they looked like what might happen if you took the styling of the Mk II Golf and added it to the Mk I Golf but got the directive “don’t be too radical in changing things.”
In other words, in some ways it’s a more natural successor to the Mk I than the Mk. II is.
Win.
It’s easy to forget just how pervasive that feeling of existential dread was during the Cold War (or, for people born after about 1980, to have never known it at all).
I remember having a vague feeling of unease everytime a thunderstorm knocked the power out, because maybe that was an EMP?
Then more recently I read…
How in the living fuck did Flynn A) Not realize these calls were being monitored, and B) Not realize that among the people doing the monitoring were lots of people who would soon be out of a job and might have an axe to grind?
I mean.
OMG this is such an amazingly good idea. But...you know...
