What is going through her head in that pic?
“I’ve got to get a better agent.”
“This doesn’t look like the set of Baywatch.”
“I really should have asked to be paid up front, before I drove all the way out here.”
“My ass is cold.”

I didn’t think that there were any more ways the Neon could depress me. Boy was I wrong.

It’s funny—I was thinking about Heathers and it occurred to me that she is the opposite of the manic pixie dream girl there. If anything, JD is a manic pixie dream boy. Except more homicidal.

His face looks like it is trying to hide from the rest of his head.

I think she means because she’s smallish, which has been perceived as “waif-like.”

Was going to say no on the rear seats, but looking at this pic...maybe?

Ah, yes, I noticed that but didn’t think too hard about it—are those not on sale yet? It’s a good looking car in person—the proportions are spot on, even if the taillights and D pillar lines are a little awkward.

I was there and heard it. It was a little embarrassing how quickly everyone ran over to look.

This. We have systematically isolated Iran from the global banking system as a matter of policy. Which is good! It’s been very effective. But one side-effect is that when you want to make a $400 million payment (or a $40 payment), you can’t just use SWIFT.

Also note that this is, in fact, a boat made by Cigarette—you can see the logo on the bow seat in one of the videos. Also on the steering wheel.

I noticed, because I had the same pedantic initial reaction.

Or the giant ball of fire affected something in the parking brake cable, as well.

Hillary and Huma have more “family values” in one finger (each) than the entire Republican Party has or ever had.

Will Arnett playing Patrick Bateman = Donald Trump Jr.

Leathery

In theory, yes, though there is some signaling that goes back and forth between the car and the charger before the session starts. You’d need to spoof that, as well.

The short answer is that there is a universal standard for “slow” chargers, for which Tesla provides an adapter. These chargers feed AC power into the car, which the car itself turns into DC power to feed the battery. This is the J1772 standard, which is likely what you are seeing signs for.

Tesla has done this, to some extent, with a number of chains and property owners. Simon Malls and Meijer are the two that come to mind that have multiple Superchargers at various properties, but I’m sure there are others. There was a rumor about Sheetz, but I haven’t heard anything more about that recently.

Campsites

Yes, the charging infrastructure is big and growing, and destination chargers play a very important role in that. I absolutely prefer staying at a hotel that has a charger to one that doesn’t, and that preference is pushing the rollout of charging.

But that’s just one piece of the puzzle. As you note, inter-city

People have been saying that for 3 years. If it’s so easy, why hasn’t anyone done it?

I don’t really disagree with you, though I think the natural inclination with a lot of manufacturers is to put these chargers at dealers, which is completely the wrong move. Working as I do in a business that involves siting

Until VAG puts some of those workers on building a continent-wide fast-charging system, placed in locations that make sense for inter-city travel, they won’t really have a Tesla competitor.

I’m a broken record on this, but I’ll keep saying it until someone listens. Tesla’s innovation was NOT putting a giant battery in
