I think it was really a good allegory for the attitudes you see today in the black community. Isaiah is those people who can only see the negative, can only hear the history, and for who every action toward them is deliberate racism. We’re already on the edge of critical mass of Jimmy Dean Pancake And Sausage Rolls On A Stick. We just can’t risk the formation of the greasy, artificial mapley black hole that might ensue from passing the tipping point.

That’s exactly what happened.

long time viewers of TNG knew that Picard had a terminal illness hanging over him. If the Synth body got rid of that, but didn’t give him any physical advantage he didn’t already have ( no super strength etc...) then it need not be addressed again.

This is why I still buy Blu-rays. I want my commentaries and behind the scenes documentaries. Hell, I even like the trailers.

I will say that the writer’s room has finally given the crew more space to develop in S3 - and that’s great!

Respectfully, I don’t think there’s some “thing” about Trek that you’ve figured out that Discoverey’s showrunners have missed. They know what show they’re making.
