“Considering this attitude, it wasn’t all that surprising that KOTFM took home zero awards last night, but it is galling. Scorsese’s epic was undoubtedly one of the best films of the year.”

I like how Jezebel poses a question to the masses that really should be posed to itself. Having published more than a dozen recent articles about Wilde and Don’t Worry Darling, does Jezebel really care about David O. Russell’s abusive conduct? . . . Or is Jezebel just squeezing yet another post from the desiccated…
Or if you paid a tiny bit more attention you could figure out that those are the names of the books that the movie series is and will be based on.
“Nova Prime! Galactus is about to devour the planet and—”
yeah, yeah, I’m gonna end up checking out The Endgame for the Killing Eve vibes.
and William H. Macy as Peter Sarsgaard in Green Lantern
I was a little skeptical of this, mainly because I’ve already read the stories and books and watched the documentaries, but that’s a great damn trailer. Seyfried looks amazing and it’s a really top-notch cast around her (though what’s up with William H. Macy’s forehead). I think I’m in.
You sure that was Vaseline?
Your entire argument falls apart by arguing that humanity would not be stupid as fuck. Have you looked out of your window lately?
Yeah, I’m not sure what’s going on with Bautista.
With Paltrow, ScarJo, Evans, and Downey, Disney doesn’t have any future projects planned with them (that we know of). Evans and Downey seemed to have real finality to their roles and ScarJo did too AND she’s suing Disney. Paltrow? Well, who knows what’s stuck up her…
I absolutely loved this episode because of how insanely silly it was and the utter committal to it. Also I did laugh a lot, so since the comedy worked for me, it helped the episode along. The God of Partying is just such a natural gimmick for Thor and he was so enjoyable that for once I didn’t find Captain Marvel…
You can dive even deeper, it’s not something exclusive to Marvel. All stories, whether they’re books, comics, TV shows, or films, follow a basic story structure. Dan Harmon created something he calls a story circle that shows the structure of stories as a way to break them down and write them.
It would have been hilarious if they’d given Guillermo the money to go all over the world and he’d just gone somewhere nice for the day and had a blast before heading to the house, scooping up some dirt, and returning to Atlantic City.
I watched the first episode but it was a struggle, really just because I am tired of apocalypse porn right now.
Fridging is more when a romantic interest of a more prominent character (most commonly a female love interest of a male character, but not always, see Tara/Willow in BTVS) dies for no other reason than to benefit that leading character’s story.
“there is something to be said for the fact that Marvel jumped at the chance to replace a Black man with a white woman in its promotional materials.”
The more I read these reviews, the more I’m convinced that they got someone who fundamentally doesn’t *get* the series to write them. Like, imagine if you got someone who *really* didn’t get Star Trek to write new Star Trek movies, or someone who thought they understood Star Wars but wildly didn’t to helm an entire…
I have a great idea for a HGTV show. Take the recently renovated homes by The Gaines, Fords, Flip or Floppers, and the property brothers and have them inspected my Mike Holmes. If they pass, they get to keep their show. If not, GTFO.
