This headline is pretty insensitive. I'm Australian and this is front-page news here, but still, these parents have been on a long and horrendous journey that deserves a little less flippancy. Lindy Chamberlain served 3 years in jail for a crime she didn't commit, for starters.

It's true. The first thing Australians complain about when visiting the USA is the lack of decent coffee. And Starbucks doesn't make the grade (SBUX had to shut a bunch of stores down after they launched here). Melbourne thinks their coffee is better than Sydney coffee. Household espresso machines are very popular too.

Now it all makes sense! The scenes between Megan and Glenn were awful, both very average actors.

Wait for Jean M. Auel's next book: Jondalar - the Fratboy years.

Well, to be fair, the 'substance' is just someone's opinion, not a longitudinal study.

Sleeping in the same room as an infant is a SIDS preventative. Babies should be close to their mothers, but when they are still little, their own bassinet in the same room is probably the safest option.

I know lots of parents who have co-slept or breastfed past 3 and their kids are actually really lovely, independent and happy kids. Attachment parenting has the premise that close parenting in the early years creates more emotionally stable kids who can be independent because they are secure in their parent's love for

Most mums (I am Australian) aren't monsters who leave their newborns to scream themselves to sleep alone; nor are they the wear-your-baby-until-college crowd.

And the line 'Because she's the cheese and I'm the macaroni' is one of the sweetest rap lines ever.

I liked 'We Found Love' but this one has no hook (never mind the bad pirate pun!)

I think it's actually a playsuit with little boy legs under the frill. I think it's cute.

It's all about sex? Na-uh - the beds don't even have bedposts.

Add me to the list of people not outraged, and kind of disappointed in the Gawker Media interest over this.

From Matthew Chidgey's Facebook page. All class:

Not many doctors in Australia at least will split up the vaccines. It seems like a crazy amount of needles when they are babies but then the schedule slows down a lot. Mine never had adverse reactions other than screaming for a couple of minutes.

Benefit is the bomb. I have Dallas, Georgia and Coralista and Hoopla. A bronzer for every occasion!

I had never seen Paula Deen before, but WTF is with her school lunch suggestion of a peanut butter & honey sandwich fried in butter and topped with sugar? Delicious, but deadly. [www.pauladeen.com]

Based on this article, the state of daycare in the US sounds terrifying.

We only partially co-sleep with our kids. They are put to bed in their room, then the 4-year-old sneaks in to our bed like a ninja after 1am and the 1-year-old comes in at about 6am. Then we all doze for another hour or so. It's quite nice waking up all together and we still get 'couple time' when we go to bed.

$400 is actually quite cheap for a stroller. Baby shit is expensive, period. Often "out in the open" means from a porch, so off the street.
