There were some very visible emotions that went across his face. Sadness that a haven in Harlem and the business of his former friend had been destroyed. Acceptance of that fact and optimism that it could be rebuilt. Then cold rage when he learned that there would be no rebuilding, and that his friend was dead.

Whenever you see the big bad meeting on a rooftop with someone who disobeyed his wishes, you know that someone is going to get thrown off that rooftop.

Those creepy pictures were actually vintage photographs the author collected. They look like bad photoshop because they were made using old camera tricks, if I remember correctly.

"They don't just pop out of the womb all actualized and ready to go." You made me laugh here, and it's totally spot on.

A lot of the criticism above are things I also found annoying about the book. It actually sounds like a pretty faithful adaptation.

I agree. The writers wouldn't have shown us Eugene giving Rick the bullet-making instructions if it weren't important, because that would require them to remember that he had a storyline going. Also the other characters already gave Eugene their goodbye hugs.

Well, technically their expedition was comprised of all women because the Southern Reach researchers wanted to adjust the variables of their expedition experiments. The previous team was all men, so the researchers repeated their experiment with all women.

It was totally the funniest. But alas, the moment was over.

Kim could pass any state's bar exam. She's a helluva lawyer.

I haven't seen past ep. 4, but she always steals the show.

The Poochie comparison explains why I haven't been laughing much these past two episodes. Sure, I enjoy Megan Fox as a guest star, but it sure does feel like the writers are trying to get us super invested in her character at the expense of comedy. Maybe they're trying to keep her on after Deschanel returns, or maybe

Which…I really didn't understand what he meant by that. Such a bizarre character.

I think the problem with The Walking Dead is that people don't change enough. The characters are drawn broadly as stereotypes and usually aren't so much human as walking plot device. The Wolf probably won't change at all, but wouldn't it be more interesting if he did, and if Denise got to show us that she's capable of

I kept thinking: Denise is a psychologist. If anyone could change the Wolf back into a member of society, it should be her, right?

I liked the original ending…I'd be pretty horrified if they changed it for the movie.

I literally never noticed that there was more than one Bobby. I would have noticed in a heartbeat if they'd replaced Kiernan though- even when she tiny she had a lot of presence.

The whole thing is very art school. "I'm going to make a sad-sack version of a pop album and people will call me brilliant."

Definitely the best version. RIP Peter Steele.

Ha, I never noticed that. I'll have to look harder!

I always root for McCarthy. She has a sort of Chris Farley-esque talent for physical comedy.
