this is my experience as well. I just finished book #3. So many bad decisions, Lenu! But I like that, it feels so real, the characters are not heroes but real people, with all their pettiness.

I loved the books consistently (I was hooked through the prologue) but I fell in and out of love with all the major characters over and over and over.
