Less tactical of an FPS, but my friends and I had a blast playing though Borderlands, 3 to 4 player coop in that game is a lot of fun. Also you could probably pick up 4 copies of it for less than $60 at this point, try to get game of the year editions if you can as it has nearly all their DLC on it as well which went…
I only buy 1 or 2 of the big games (usually multiplayer so i can play with friends) coming out during the fall season. I then end up buying most the other "big" games from the previous fall to fill in the gaps since they're often only $20 a year later. That's how I deal with it.
I got a newer ASUS netbook with dual core atom and an nvidia ION graphics chip. It's a lot like playing on a decade old desktop really. I picked up a bunch of games from Good 'ole Games www.gog.com. I generally enjoyed the older RPG's and there was a ton of them in the late 90's I never got around to. So I've been…
I've looked into the kinect and there doesn't seem to be any "killer" game that makes me feel the need to get it. Then again one of the things that I am interested in the kinect for is all the potential it has on a PC to do some really amazing things. Sadly I want it so I can screw around with it on the PC with the…
do, doo, doo... aaaaa-all we are is pissing in the wind!!!!
I have a DLink NAS that is connected to my wifi router. Sometimes when I'm going to bed I'll toss on some movie I've watched too many times to drown out all the noise in my apartment building. The only issues I've run into when streaming over wifi (N) to my laptop is that scene shifting takes a couple of seconds…
Niiiiiice, I forgot all about that little trick, I just never think of picking up denture cleaner when I'm at the store.
Had a coffee mug similar to this with a hand flipping you off at the bottom. It was was fun and kinda kitsch but I liked it. Cleaning was a bit of a pain and eventually I broke it trying to clean it after years of having it. Still, I like the octopus design way more than the coffee cup that flips you the bird when…
Check to make sure there isn't anything near your router that is also running at 2.4ghz or 5.2ghz. I had a friend who had their router on top of their microwave, every time between WoW raids when they went out to the kitchen to heat up a hot pocket they'd get dropped from the game due to the microwave also running on…
I'd look for a router that either already has DDWRT (a customized firmware) on it already or one supported by DDWRT (check their web page for hardware compatability. ASUS sells some of their wifi routers with the DDDWRT firmware already on them, and I think there are a few other ones out there that sell it too. The…
It can't hurt to try and switch back your IP address assignment to the mdoem instead of your router. Another thing to check is on the linksys is it's firmware up to date. I've gotten a lot of first gen Linksys routers that had intermittant connectivity issues and firmware updates have usually solved the problem for…
Opposite end of the spectrum here in Alaska. We have two seasons Winter and Was/Almost Winter.
I'm guessing it's like trying to look at the sun.... just a guess.
The swipe to unlock from the notifications on iPhone work fine if the iphone is password protected, it does prompt you to enter your password after you've swiped the text. Then it takes you right to whatever notification had popped up. It is pretty handy.
Why? Whats the point of this, I feel like I must be missing something because I just don't get it and it seems pretty lame as far as animated GIF's go.
I wish they would do the same thing with iPhone/iPod/iTouch headphone jacks. They've got such a huge marketshare they should have just done it with the first iPhone. I don't know how many personal audio players I have laying around with a rubberband wrapped around them pulling the headphones to one side so I can…
Am I the only one that somehow replaced the last word matresses with mistresses.... well, we all know where my mind is today.
If you already have some nice mics like I did, BLUE makes a USB to XLR adapter with phantom power for studio mics. I use it coupled with a nice studio mic that I have mounted to the ceiling in the middle of the room. Being a cheap skate I use Audacity to do my rough recordings. Often when playing some music with…
The iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s have the camera LED (flash), wondering if that's what's used for them. Older iPhones (I just upgraded from a 3G) didn't have any kind of notification LED's on them that I'm aware of.
