I can only speak for myself. Sometimes I stare, but please believe me when I say that it is with admiration.

I don't think you're alone in this. Even in my uber-conservative town biracial families are a pretty strong and confident presence. I'm just getting sick and tired of staffers and commenters being snide about clothing, products that aren't "higher end." Yes, I do go to Walmart for necessities and other things. And Old

Maybe I'm a bit overly sensitive to a Writer's "tone" or their use of qualifiers and a bit of artful implication. Ironically, I've only actually seen a small sample of Amy's work, which is why this isn't really "my fight" (don't like fighting anyway). I just find the manner in which the "winds shift" here over time

owing to the fact that I am pretty medicated right now (legally and by necessity), not too sure how you are referencing the last sentence. No matter. After we see it perhaps we can devise a "bot" that says "Hey, we told you it would be good."

Aaah. Well speaking as the cheapest of cheapskates, I just go to you tube and satisfy my "need to know." After a trailer and 7 or so one-minute clips, I'm pretty much good to NOT go:)

An overdosed society that must have the most brilliant, edgy trailers AND the most OMG! best freak'in movie - both, by god! No. Not merely both: Everything....gimme, gimme. (Sorry *sigh* Jez Sundays just can't keep us busy and distracted enough).

When the trailer was first released their was a piece here about Jones and her role as a non-scientist, MTA worker. The over-all consensus, as I recall, was that this was possibly the best choice for her character. She may not be a scientist but she shows the other ladies how to get sh*t done. OK, that could be

Well said. Good summary (I love a really good summary:)

This was a looong time ago, but after 5 minutes of white-knuckling through a movie so I awful I can't remember the title, I stormed out AND demanded a refund. Got it too:)

But that's just it. I Looooove real-world paranormal theories.

Haha! Well, I've seen it now. Thanks. If I'd ever seen the reality show or watched GoT regularly I'm sure I'd have peed a little too. Pouring hot sauce on Pete was great. I love the way Jones parodies stereotypes of black women without fear.

I'm an outlier on this one. I did not like the original (but then I was into film studies and kinda snobby). The movie's premise seemed clever enough, but it was just goofy. When the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man appeared I audibly groaned, then fell asleep. Also I can't tolerate Dan Aykroyd in anything. I'm looking

Aaak. There's little worse than a fabulous trailer that is essentially a fabulous One Minute Movie, because every "high point" is distilled into a tantalizing teaser. Then you pay for admission and sit through 2 hours of agonizing "filler" (i.e. the movie).

I watch it if only to get more Leslie Jones. She's gonna steal the show.

Usually I end up at IMBd. Metacritic. Yes. When I'm in a hurry for a movie, my brain just hasn't been recognizing that site. Thanks.

I love the trailer. Have watched it numerous times. I'm thinking sexism. Sigourney was a hot draw in the first movie. Also, I have completely lost faith in Rotten Tomatoes. All I read are reviews celebrating John Wick (liked it) and movies like Joe and The Revenant: mostly written by young male reviewers who just

Get a lawyer. I'm not getting into a hair-pulling contest with you.

Thank You! Maybe I'll find this. Then again, a mouse probably will have found it first:/

Ah well. I try to keep it in perspective. Jez is not a "members only" club (although there are preferred members - not me:). It's a big site and people come and go. Gawker/Jez, itself, has changed radically in just a few years. It does seem to thrive on getting the outrage flowing, so when it does, I just leave the
