He still needed safety help though.
Best man-to-man coverage he’s played in a year.
Fuck Peyton Manning. Fuck his phony good ‘ol boy persona, his hobnobbing with Republican politicians, the spitefully racist cover-up of his sexual assault at Tennessee, and how the entire sports media world refused to cover his PED scandal for literally no other reason than blatant favoritism. Fuck Peyton Manning.
Do rich people’s washing machines speed up the more they use them?
Yeah, the part where she said she was pregnant again... just, why? Why weren't they using protection? You can't afford the kids you have, don't add more on top of that. Jesus. The game industry is my industry, and my husband and I have no children, being poor students and then being in an unstable employment situation…
Or if he only wants to work in v-game industry; why instantly uproot the whole family for every new job location - especially after being burned hard the first couple times?
Or you know... just decide to hole up in one place and really put some serious effort into staying in rather than running all over the country for all kinds of job offers. his kids owuld have had a much better life and not be screwed to the point of needing mental health care.
ugh. exactly. it sucks that this happened to this family but i feel bad for the kids more than anything. the world doesnt owe you your dream job, your dream house, and 5 fucking kids. Follow your heart in an insanely unstable industry, but dont put the burden of instability on your fucking kids. Or have six zillion…
That year, my husband couldn't fly out and attend my stepson's graduation, because we had to move instead. We couldn't afford for him to go, or to send him any decent graduation gift.
A year and a half later, we were told he would be laid off in two months. I was seven months pregnant. Our insurance would end two weeks before the baby was due.
No, NO. That's the problem, everyone prefers to censor the names of the companies, instead of going fully public on their shitty behavior.
"family of six" Just saying.
It seems like some poor decisions made by the couple may have contributed.

For having 7 kids, yeah?
Bad things happen, but it seemed like they did their darndest to make it worse. My dad was in the military, sometimes he moved months before we did. So that we could finish the school year. There were only two of us, kids. They don't cancel cable until he gets laid off, but have no savings?…
Continuing to pop out kids while in such a volatile industry/situation seems like a terrible idea as well. You know things could go south at any time and can barely afford to raise the kids you already have yet you continue to have more? Just putting more and more people through the wringer of moving constantly with…
Yeah maybe they should have invested in a little birth control and not 7 kids. It is so easy to avoid a pregnancy (there are literally apps that tell you when you're good to go) there is no excuse for the kind of negligence that gets you into a 5+ kid situation.
Every time we accepted a job offer, we were offered promises of stability and plenty of funding. We were told about the "project after this one," and no offer was given as temporary, or "for this project only." Instead of companies asking us if we'd stay for the long haul, we began asking them instead.
Kind of seems like most of the stress of the LucasArts story is from choosing to work in an industry known for precarity while also having a boatload of kids.
