I feel like I watched a different performance than everyone else. Piano and sound difficulties don’t make your voice struggle like hers was. She was cracking all over the place at the end and was noticeably flat the whole way through. I just don’t think she’s a very strong live singer - I can’t recall a good live…

Hm. I’m a conservatory-trained classical musician and pretty much everyone I know/work with agrees that she is dreadful.

Wait... were we listening to the same performance? She was horribly flat the whole way through and her voice was rank and raspy at the end. It was dreadful in ways that had nothing to do with the piano. I’ve never heard her turn in a good live performance.

I get that reading of it and I'm sure that's what they were going for, but the whole thing was too saccharine for my taste. I thought it was just really heavy-handed and ridiculous.

I suppose so, but it was just so ridiculous and over the top. Knowing they have at least another 3 seasons to go at it, I think it may have been more interesting to just leave the characters wallowing.

That was sooooo good. Season 3 was such a nosedive compared to that.

I thought season 3 was pretty bad in general. I can't really foresee this show going a strong 6 shows. Hopefully they can find a way to make it work.
