Actually, as I said in another comment, I'm only a fan of her recent music. I thought her earlier stuff was quite fluffy. I much prefer where she's at now. I don't know how you can listen to "Lookin Ass" or "Only" and call it fluff pop.

For sure! I think Nicki is interesting in that her music has actually gotten a lot better with time. I don't really like her earlier stuff or the stuff that made her famous initially, which is of course the opposite of what we normally think! I think she's really come into her own musically in the last 2 years or so.
They've actually written a couple things about it and have been keeping abreast of the situation as it progressed legally.
I think you're mostly right but I haven't gotten that sense from this case. Ray Rice was pretty beloved in the NFL. I listen to sports radio for several hours a day during my commute and they are always falling over each other trying to find ways to excuse him and talk about his "good" qualities.
Deleted because dumb.
Yep! If she's been anything, Nicki has for sure always been true to herself and worn her heart and personality on her sleeve (or so it seems to a lowly pleb like me). I've really come to dig her a lot over the past year or so.
Right. As long as it's not the "I'm not feminist because I love men!" argument, I'm good.

Honey, trust me, the church doesn't need your money.
To be perfectly honest I think it is because we hear about rape cases so much and they are so commonplace to us they are not particularly surprising or shocking. The brutality of this story is very shocking and may elicit a different response from the commentariat. Although, I have seen plenty of gifs on rape stories…

Umm... it's a good cover, but this is by no means punk.
So my knowledge of music as a professional, conservatory-trained musician means nothing because art can be subjective?
Why not? I frequently see law jezzies weighing in on articles and clarifying things, since they have a better-informed perspective than the average layperson. I don't see them getting scoffed at for it. So if there's an article on music why can't I, as a music jezzie, do the same?
Sorry, I use my own knowledge and experience to inform my opinions. If that offends you I don't know what to tell ya.
Ahh ok I see what you mean!! Sorry when you said "tunings" I thought you meant an alternative tuning system like just intonation or something haha. And I was kind of stoked because twigs and JI would be a match made in heaven. But yeah she deff messes with the way her instruments are tuned. I didn't know she used a…
they are the actual worst. I imagine it would sound similar if my lamp and a kitchen sponge became animate and tried to make music.
What's on the bass? The bass is always tuned in fourths. I promise I'm not being purposefully thick, ha.
oh my god so classic best movie ever for all time
Wow, I made a typo in an Internet comment on my iPhone, by all means, crucify me.
