I’ve encountered plenty of #NotMySkywalker (as related to TLJ) people online. Many of them do interpret the end of RotJ as Luke emerging from the final fight as a paragon of goodness with god-light shining down around him as he was imbued with sage-like wisdom, and simply cannot reconcile that image they held of him

Nice! If you feel inclined to do so, reply back after you’ve had a bit of time with it. I for one would like to hear your thoughts on it.

I think the thing with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is that it assumes you already have expectations about how you want to spend your time going in, you somehow already know how the game is going to answer that, and you’re cool with what you’re going to get. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but I readily admit that that’s

What is it with Twitter harassment? I’m barely, barely ever on Twitter...has this always been a thing?

FLAGGED!

Totally. I’ve learned that I tend to like a lot of things that Jason wouldn’t recommend (and am not interested in a lot of the stuff he does like), but I’m not gonna disrespect the guy over it. I’m waiting a few days on Octopath so I can hear more from other regular folks about their impressions before I make my final

Hah, I should have scrolled down before commenting; I just wrote the same thing you did. Can’t believe how much the game improved when I switched over to Japanese voices. Everything seemed to fit so much better after that.

I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in English for about 45 seconds before switching to Japanese and never looking back. Not sure if that’ll do it for you, but it made a world of difference for me. I instantly found the characters more engaging and charming, and everything just seemed to gel much better. There are no

In a way, the idea that an opportunity with this game has been lost is a bit sad. I mean, Square did really well with listening to feedback from the first demo and incorporating the subsequent improvements in the second demo. But by both necessity and design, there was no way for us to provide feedback on the actual

Fair point. I’ll also be looking forward to hearing more from other “regular people” like myself, people who’ll be buying and playing the game under similar circumstances, so to speak, and not because it’s their job.

You’re not wrong. My Best Buy GCU is still active, and I’ve got a couple of reward certificates stacked up, so that’ll help. If it looks like the game’s price isn’t going to drop before the first of those certificates expires, I may just take the plunge anyways...

Well, that is disappointing, not going to try to say otherwise. However, I may look at the game a bit later when I can get it at a more reduced price. I’m aware that I have some different expectations of RPGs when compared to Jason (for example, I was completely invested in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and can’t wait to

LOLkay

...? That’s a strange comment to find. Sorry, who are you again?

An illuminating response. Take care, now.

So what do you want me to do? Stop playing it because you don’t like it? What is your actual goal here?

Well here’s my take. I don’t buy the game when it’s in a state I can’t agree with. If the company actively takes steps to alleviate customers’ concerns and turns the game into a product I’d be willing to purchase and play, then I will buy it.

Sorry friend, Battlefront II is a heaping bunch of fun and only keeps getting better. Subjectively speaking, that is.

Can’t say I mind too much that the Emperor is out of the fight at least for the time being. When he’s bouncing around lighting everyone up, all you need is a concerted effort from a few teammates to focus fire on him, but I can’t ever seem to get that going. You don’t even need mic’d communication for that; just look

I’ve never really felt compelled to go below the surface on either game. I hope the people who do care enough to do that are actually enjoying what they find.
