For many people here, yes. Profit is not allowed in anyway shape or form. You can ONLY run a business if it breaks totally even, because you know you don’t NEED to make any money for running your business, because all business owners are independently wealthy. LOL

He isn’t contributing to the housing issues.  He is giving a place to live to people in exchange for rent.  Not everyone can afford to buy a home, sure you may be able to afford say a $1,800 mortgage payment but can you afford that AND buy a fridge or stove when it breaks, of what if your roof gets destroyed by a hail…

Great way to show disgust for the way this country is going, by renouncing your citizenship and giving up your only method for fixing it: voting.

It doesn’t matter who owns or manages the rentals; if there is abundant housing, prices are more affordable. At the end of the day, the problem is affordability, which is purely driven by supply/demand.

This. When I lived in a managed highrise I paid out the nose but I felt like I was getting something for my money. Now that I rent a house I still pay out the nose but the property manager doesn’t do a whole lot.

The ugly Chinese tourist is definitely a thing. Loud, disrespectful (spitting, littering, etc.), and a strange sense of entitlement are all things that I’ve seen from Chinese tourists, both in the US and abroad.
