Oh come on, that was funny. Too bad Curves already promoted it.

Agreed. Come on Joe, give @majorsquirrel a star, if not for naming the worst, for naming the best and being quite accurate, obviously someone who is an avid reader.

The only thing scarier than the documentary you mention was one called Jesus Camp. Brainwashing IRL might be the scariest thing humans can do to eachother.

Well there is a limit to how much you can contribute to your IRA, however the limit for your employers 401k plan should be much higher for contributions of pre-tax dollars. I happen to have a 403b plan working for a non-profit, and the limit is $15,500 whether your employer matches or not is up to them and if they do,

92K mortgage at 5% over 30 years is ~$500. Say that's 80% of a home mortgage price because you did the right thing and put 20% down, that's a home of $115,000, which can be found in many places.

Well played sir.

Agreed, although I typically use just the windows button as the search tool can act as a run command. windows+r then shutdown -s or -r............. and you can windows+r and use the correct .cpl file to open a control panel, like desk.cpl for display controls..... list can be found here. I used to have these

In a previous life, yes, I have rocked this game, only missing a few as I didn't work with coding that much. Although I would add a few specific to my industry: Higher Education

Gina, regarding the spider veins, it is never to late to use compression stockings. Most office people do not need to use them, however my wife is a nurse and is on her feet for 10 hour shifts with minimal sitting. Compression stockings are a lifesaver.

Yes, it has worth. Even in "Cash" it's in an account somewhere earning a percentage. Even if it's a .01%, that's 9.7 Million.

As someone who lives in a city where crossing a single street intersection can take you from perfectly safe to a neighborhood spilling with gun violence this would be nice to have, although if google took it upon themselves to define bad neighborhoods, even via an algorithm of crime stats, I'm sure it would not go

So where is the list of "Everything I need to raise a little evil genius"?

1. Your child ran away and you need to see who they have been communicating with, let their friends on FB know you are looking for them. Where else would a parent have instant contact info for all of their child's friends?

Thanks @DaveyNC, and I should edit that they were QR codes, not barcodes.

One friend used business cards with barcodes for her information when job hunting.

I can tell your passionate. I'm not sure you got my point though. We agree more than you think, why try to skirt the need for a warrant?

I'm less familiar with EZ-Pass as I mainly drive in and around Chicago tolls...... however they can use EZ-Pass accounts on Illinois Tolls.

Indeed, and it already exists, it's called tolls. Police can and do receive "pings" on our cars every time we use a pre-registered I-Pass (Illinois) or EasyPass (East Coast).

I'm going to go ahead and chalk this up to inevitable and very similar to dogs at airports searching for drugs, police using a tool to scan anyone and everyone around without their consent.

Probably the best Giz post that I've read. Citations, references, and while biased, biased in the right way..... for tech. I can promise that law makers have no sense of the topic (I've worked in a senator's office) and that they rely on their Legislative Aids for their information / reassurance after being pressured
