For reference, I specifically remember the first store I used it in (not the first time I used it). It was a Meijer in suburban Chicago land area in 2003.

As someone who has used it regularly for 20 years. It works where I am, in every type of store that implements it. Even in stores where booze needs a DOB entered it is always generally faster. My experience is that they have 8-12 lanes of regular check out but staff only 2-3, and then the people like me slip by on the

FYI, some new dishwashers open themselves when done and turn a fan on to push the steam out.

Came here for this. Social norms and fashion trends are different. Breaking social norms regarding respect requires a reason because you’re making a statement that could offend and you need to know that you might offend. I don’t make the rules... take off your gd hat at the table!

Yeah no, they don’t use normal airports either. She does not f around with LAX.

I do this, but I prefer over easy. So I put egg on first, then cheese, then flip. It doesn’t create as much of a crisp flat lace, but the flavors are there. I also get to call it over cheesy.

Kinja screwed up my link....

The Marquette library has the largest collection of Tolkien original documents.

Just last night I realized why my salads never quite tasted as good as how my wife makes it. We use dressing, but she will salt and pepper the f’in salad.

Question, how do you prepare it for the second go around? My countertop air fryer would require me cutting it up. Do you just cut up, season and put in?

They are not the same. Both regular and high end stores near me serve dried out trash compared to Costco chickens. IDK what they do, but they do it better. If you like your place, then great.

You can play all of the games with a cheap device and a generic usb controller, probably less than $50. Getting it into a cabinet and making it nice with the proper buttons is what costs money, so they do it one game at a time.

I’m sure someone else has done this, but I like to do a thing called over cheesy. A thin slice of aged cheddar melted over the egg yoke using a steam cover. Then flip to get the cheese also slightly fried. It fits and cooks perfectly in my mini cast iron skillet.

Yeah, but I think it makes sense. They can control the devices and ip addresses along with the credentials. They can also see if someone watched it once or 50 times, something you cannot do with a disc.

A friend has family in the biz. Every once in awhile she’ll snap me a pic of the physical disc when she gets to watch one just to make me jealous.

With 3 teenagers, one of them can probably drive and get the groceries too. I’ll provide the $ and kitchen, but save me some time by running my errands for me. “Oh, and pick up the dry cleaning while you’re out!”

It’s as simple as knowing your audience. You communicate with an appropriate mode. This whole text vs call thing makes me wonder if the other comments about young people and phone anxiety is real. My phone is not in my room when I sleep. If I am busy I may not look at it for hours. I will answer your call if I am

A couple random thoughts, not sure a coherent assessment:

This is the correct response.

I like this take, don’t reject the young because they aren’t like you, respect their talents. My issue with TikTok is the cool factor. This platform has more people acting stupid than MTV’s Jackass ever could.
