I’m sure someone else has done this, but I like to do a thing called over cheesy. A thin slice of aged cheddar melted over the egg yoke using a steam cover. Then flip to get the cheese also slightly fried. It fits and cooks perfectly in my mini cast iron skillet.
With 3 teenagers, one of them can probably drive and get the groceries too. I’ll provide the $ and kitchen, but save me some time by running my errands for me. “Oh, and pick up the dry cleaning while you’re out!”
It’s as simple as knowing your audience. You communicate with an appropriate mode. This whole text vs call thing makes me wonder if the other comments about young people and phone anxiety is real. My phone is not in my room when I sleep. If I am busy I may not look at it for hours. I will answer your call if I am… Read more
This is the correct response.
I like this take, don’t reject the young because they aren’t like you, respect their talents. My issue with TikTok is the cool factor. This platform has more people acting stupid than MTV’s Jackass ever could.
Thanks for my reminder that I need to reboot my daily routines. I brush, floss, etc, but I know that even with daily showers I am naturally smelly. I have gotten lax on my deodorant, mouth wash, mints (although those are not very effective). I no longer wear an undershirt as I spend 99.9% of my time at home. Given… Read more
I guess I never realized people don’t do this. I wouldn’t call it mindful eating though, just better eating. I still eat the whole unit of whatever it came in: bag, roll, etc.
Local is the thing. I love crab, I love crab cakes, I lived in MD when I was young and now that I’m in the Midwest I just don’t partake. There are foods that should only be local and unless you properly freeze it and pay for that proper freezing, seafood (oceanfood) is one of those you can’t touch or find at my local… Read more
This is a game boy rechargeable battery. You can play while plugged into the wall. This allowed me to never have to ask my parents for AA’s. The clip on the back was so you could wear it on your hip while you walked around playing. I still use mine with my original game boy.
Very much appreciated, and as I commented to another, we remained good friends with those neighbors and they never said anything about it. Maybe it was all in our head, our embarrassment of doing that. Once we noticed it just seemed rude on our part even if nothing came of it. Will always think twice and maybe stop bef… Read more
Yes, before and after we were good friends with our neighbors. They never said anything. It was just poor judgement on our part.
The only time I felt bad about offal was when my parents had a pig roast and the only logical place to put it happened to be near the property line with the very kosher Jewish neighbors. That pig tongue was rotating all morning in full view until we realized it, but then it was too late to move. We felt so bad...
My kids, 5, 3, and newborn were happy to have their play set, built 2 years ago. Since March we developed a schedule of their outside play in the afternoon starting after lunch until it was time to come inside and make food. They have had 3 to 4 hour recesses while I watch the baby for months. They have learned to… Read more
