Oh, god, my ex-husband is in tech and he does this, too. “Earl.” I’m so glad I divorced him.

Exactly. I was like, “Uh, the headbands are nice, I guess?”
When is someone - preferably an indie designer, but I’m not fucking picky at this point - going to make a kick-ass ‘90s throwback collection for plus sizes? All this retro ‘90s fashion is pissing me off, because I WANT IT.
I don’t give a shit about this story, but I’m 42 and I know a tremendous amount about music, and I grew up hearing that “Angie” is about her. It is apparently not, but there’s no proof she made up that story, and it was/is a widely accepted theory. Calm your tits.
I see it every single time I am on a bus (the only reason I don’t see it on trains or subways is because we don’t have those here), which is several times per week.
I’m waiting for some of the white nominees to start publicly calling out this bullshit, and maybe even taking stands.
Waiting. And waiting. And waiting.
You just called someone “the tea party [sic] of feminism”, and they’re unhinged? Hello, pot?
FAZE. IT DOESN’T FAZE HIM. JESUS CHRIST.
(Do you mean do I want to bring children into a world like this?)
“all the wrong curves in all the wrong places!”
This makes me sad. Not just for you, but for anyone who reads this and things that there is such a thing.
All fat ladies got for decades: monochrome (usually black), frowsy, boring, shapeless, and designed to cover as much as possible. And now you want to complain that we’re being offered color, prints, design, style, and variety? And you wish we could go back to subdued and black? Come the fuck on.
The clothing industry…
What. The fuck. Is a “silent disco”?
Except that’s not true. None of that is true.
Right? Me, to my husband: “But... but.. but he’s an evil turd-man. He’s the king of evil turd-men.”
Biases. The plural of bias is biases. Apostrophes are never used to pluralize; they are used to show possession or indicate a contraction. “Bias’s” means “belonging to Bias”, which is not what you were trying to say. You SHOULD have used an apostrophe in “authors”, though: author’s. Belonging to the author.
Come on.…
Here are some reasons people hate Ricky Gervais, for everyone here who has - inexplicably - not yet learned about search engines:
Get a fucking grip. Ricky Gervais doesn’t need you for a savior. Getting that upset over a celebrity makes you look unhinged.
She literally said that we cannot outlaw murder - murder, which is against the law. There was nothing intelligent about her side of that “conversation”.
I think my favorite part is where she said, “[W]e cannot outlaw murder.”
MURDER IS ILLEGAL. WE HAVE OUTLAWED MURDER.
“As is true for most humans, Taylor Swift’s charisma skyrockets when she’s playing an instrument”
Mathematically incorrect - anything multiplied by zero is still zero.
Yes! Read everything Kelly Link has written!
I feel like FEmmanist Book Club is the obvious answer here.
