Technically when I parked the car it was parked correctly. It was just at midnight when it became illegally parked. The even/odd rules ran from November 1 (or first snowfall of the year) to April 15th, and caused nothing but issues for people all over the city.

I know how to park, it was a rule that would confuse the hell out me (and a lot of my neighbors too).  

That is how they are referred in the manuals.  Also windscreen, instead of windshield.  There are others too but those are the main 3.

Agreed, it is not like I took up two marked spaces or let a meter run out, it was I was confused about the odd/even rules. The side you park on starts at midnight. I would forget that so I would come home say on the 10th, park on even numbered side, when I needed to park on the odd numbered side of the street.

I live in NH.  LA was cute for all of 30 seconds until you got onto the 405 from the rental car lots and sat in traffic for hours. NH is a lot better well until another 2 weeks when leaf peepers start to file into the state.

So I make a mistake, and a cop makes a bigger one. Am I just to suck it up and pay because they can’t be bothered to run my plate to get the make and model of my vehicle correct? 

That did occur to me, just replace the Mini logos with wordless ones. And remove the Cooper S lettering.  However there was some perverse pleasure of them getting it wrong with it spelled out right in front of the cop.  

Or the city could be a bit more less confusing on their winter even/odd parking rules, that seem to get updated every year to make them harder to follow. But I am not going to let a gift horse get away if I can prove the officer was not paying attention when they wrote out a ticket. I only lived there for 2 years,…

All my Mini’s have been the 2 (well they call it a 3 door) hatch.  It is the only model I like.  I do like the new Clubman (F54) and that will most likely be my next one.
