You know purposefully being unclear doesn't make you seem wise. It makes you look like a pretentious asshole.

Huh? I am a feminist, but I don't see how that's relevant to the question I asked. Has anyone ever believed you when you said "I was a feminist for many years and then I saw the light."

The AV Club has disbanded! (Jumps out nearby window)

Does anyone ever fall for that "I called myself an X for many years and then I saw the light." tactic? If not, why do you guys keep using it?

But she is a female character that Joan Romba doesn't like. Thus, Mary Sue.

The article writer could have said "Some assholes" instead of "MRA" and we'd still have a massive swarm of trolls going "Well actually… (Insert pedantic correction that doesn't actually make any sort of noticeable distinction. Throw in some strawman feminist arguments)"

I remember around the time of the Supreme Court decision reading some blog post about how all gay relationships were like relationships in Ayn Rand novels, and gay people only had gay sex because they were gay and it was some type of gay self fulfillment (also gay people are all narcissists). And gay people can't be

I've read stuff about HIV being more stable in semen than in vaginal fluid. I really wish I could find that paper again. (My former biochemistry professor did research into that area).

I have a hard time believing that disgust is a natural reaction to seeing homosexual stuff among the sex you're not attracted to. I feel like it's a cultural thing, as it seems to pop up mostly among people who were taught that homosexuality is disgusting and wrong.

I'm not sure if I feel comfortable telling specific stories.

Details.

I am intrigued by your title and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I was going to make a comment saying that this thread has been enlightening. But then I got distracted by the Almighty Penis. Seems like a good band name.

(Sees the molestation on the subway)

Well I had some problems with being a TA last semester, and due to some technical difficulties in the application process, I'm stuck in the same class for the coming semester. So I'm going to try and let go of my frustrations, and remember that it's a new semester that the end of January brings in.

Since you mentioned Gatsby, I'm suddenly wondering if the more well off ones have had to read that in school. And if they finished it. Convoluted web of lies never seems to work out the way you want them to.
