All Queit on the Western Front. Definitely one of the more haunting novels I've read that deals with war. Also interesting to read one told from the perspective of someone on the losing side. (I mean I know the author is German, just that stuff I've read before is by Americans, and there tends to be an undercurrent of

Fair enough. I did like parts of the true ending, ignoring the fact your characters have to be completely brain dead to go down that path. Also "Evil Wings" and "The Serpent That Devours the Horizon" are some of my favorite boss themes. But I do have Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call DLC if I want to listen to

Except breaking the cycle is the worse choice and the game rubs it in your face. To get the best ending you have to continue the cycle despite it giving shoved in their face why they shouldn't. And then they are so surprised when the obvious traitor gets so gleeful that their evil plan worked.

Oh all the side quests I've done so far is the "Go kill that tyrant" "Go fetch those Dino bear asses". Haven't reached requirements for the Affinity quests yet. Just reached the requirements for Chapter 4.

I seemed to revive them just by standing over them for a little while. Maybe I did something without realizing it? (Though I know the reason you can wait 30 sec before respawning is to give your teammates a chance to revive you.)

Oh? That sounds good. Like not as bad as Mass Effect 1's system. And yeah I'm loving the ray gun. And Beam Barrage of course.

Oh crap no! That's going on the list of things to do today. There's several McDonald's by me so one of them has got to work. (There's still time right?)

I did notice that very shortly into the game I got healing abilities as a Drifter. Plus you can revive fallen teammates. I was a bit concerned at first but I think I'm starting to get a handle on the battle system.

Going through Overclocked now, though I'm currently on break with other games.

Story doesn't get better, (actually it gets worse as the characters ignore giant red flags, and decide to not ignore giant red flags but ignore them anyway. If that sentence doesn't make sense, what I mean is that there's plot holes), but I found it interesting to tackle those (repetitive) side quest with all these

Excellent write up on the Smash music! I feel slightly embarrassed that I have Ashley's Song on my phone. Though that's partly because I find the singer in the Japanese version to be slightly grating.

Still not sure what's up with the graphics to those FFV and FFVI ports. But it's put me off from actually getting them. I've never said that about the graphics to anything else I think.

The only upside to the Legion death squads was that I would get a Super Sledge, super early. (Also one time I responded to "Don't you ever give up?" with "Not while there's still spines left unsnapped!" I like the Terrifying Presence perk.)

I probably won't be playing that much this weekend because finals are next week. Nothing says fun weekend like having a thermo final Monday at 8 am. But in the meantime:

It did come up in conversation a little more naturally than that, I just can't remember the context well enough. I think I'm so baffled by my literal running away response that it's obscuring my memory a bit. I did notice a change in attitudes towards LGBT stuff right around when I entered college. (2011). I'm still

(Reads paragraph about work. Realizes that I'm not out to any of my fellow students in my department). Hmmm. Honestly, I don't see the need to I guess? I mean I'm not hiding it from them. It's just not relevant I feel.

Yeah, if race relations are any indication we'll pretend that as of this year everything is solved with regards to homophobia, all while ignoring how much of it still permeates are society.

Story time! That I may have told before, and will probably tell again because I'm 21 hours late here.

Ha, they only care about taking care of the vets when they can point to it as a reason as to why we shouldn't take care of someone else. Funny how they never seem to actually make things better for veterans

The thing that disturbs me most is the idea he might open the door for someone more competent. I mean he's stoked the fire of the ideas. He might not be the one to ride them to power but it's still scary as fuck.
