mmmm…open-faced club sand wedge
I picked up a lot more of child of divorce than rich kid, though I get the feeling of both. I bet his mom in this episode had a boob job that was paid for by the ex.
I always thought Tierney sounded like a cross between Ed Asner and George C. Scott. A great voice, in other words.
I never thought I'd say that I would be jealous of you, VanDerTurf, but I'll give it up. I want a Worker&Parasite t-shirt too.
oooOOOooo.
I, also, thought this episode was season 2-3, and was shocked more than I should have been to see it came from the 7th.
It can be two things.
Mmmmmm, prosciutto blossoms.
Dee's gagging dry heave always makes me feel vaguely nauseous myself. I could probably do with less of it.
Liked for the possible Y&T reference.
Tool is still a great band, with many classic songs and really interesting new stuff. I saw them last summer in an festival, and they were the highlight of the show.
I would've dug a couple more albums from GnR circa the Appetite for Destruction - Use Your Illusions era.
Asimov is a good choice, but I'm going to beg for more Theodore Sturgeon or Fritz Leiber. They were from the same era as Asimov and had just as cool stories. Like Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser among others.
The Leg of Gideon sounds like some sort of Biblical parable or something. What could be the moral of this story?
Give them to your sweetie - he/she will never know where they came from. Just don't let them make a tea from them.
No, I get my home internet through a Christian educational institution, which blocks IM/Chat (like the forum and Skype) as well as porn and some other stuff. (Guess it wasn't that long a story). I could always use a VPN or the Tor browser, I guess.
One thing I noticed visually this week was theme of flowers - normally objects of beauty and symbols of life - being perverted, twisted into alien shapes of menace and fear. With the slow, hypnotic pullout in the intro where it focused on the flowers in the chest cavity, I didn't even realize what I was really seeing…
Pics or I don't believe you.
Just like Abed!
