I see your point about Tyrion forcibly removing Myrcella without her mother’s consent. It was definitely aggressive and probably motivated at least partially out of spite towards Cersei. But I also think he was legitimately trying to do the right thing by healing the old wounds with Dorne through a marriage pact,

What warning signs did Cersei see? Not being a smart ass, I legit don’t recall from the books/show. She didn’t WANT Myrcella sent away, especially at the behest of our brother who she couldn’t stand, but that’s not the same as being legitimately concerned for her safety.

Ah, but the “wise masters” of the other cities don’t know that Dany is missing. Everyone saw her fly off on Drogon, but nobody knows where she is. She could have returned to Mereen at some point and just be keeping a low profile after the attempt on her life. I think the THREAT of her and her dragons still carries

Yes, on a show filled with characters that have changed/evolved/matured, she has perhaps grown the most. It’s unfortunate that she had to endure trial by fire, so to speak, but she’s come out on the other side of all that hardship as a determined, bad ass woman. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up killing Ramsay

Yeah, it was left a bit open ended. But we know what the slavers want: her, her dragons, and her Unsullied gone from Mereen and Slavers Bay. I thought the implied “or else” in that scene was that she and her dragons would come back to fuck shit up in 7 years if the slavers hadn’t complied.

He sent Myrcella to Dorne before the Oberyn thing went down, he wouldn’t have any reason to think she wouldn’t be safe. And he wasn’t sending her as a hostage, she was engaged to the Prince’s son and sealed an alliance with House Martel. It was a savvy political move, although admittedly one that went poorly through

He did fairly well as Hand until circumstances outside his control led to his ouster. I think he has a very pragmatic approach to ruling, and understands the ins and outs of politics. Much more effective as an advisor, or the “guy behind the guy” than an actual ruler himself, though.

She absolutely did not handle those 2 cities well. She has been operating from a highly moral position, but is learning that victory will require sometimes compromising those morals. That is why Tyrion is there, to give his perspective on how to actually rule (see his deal last night with the slavers).

Yes, but his dragons were fully grown and trained, with riders. That made all the difference. Maybe Dany’s dragons will be in a similar situation by the time she’s ready to come west, but I haven’t seen any indication in the books or show that her dragons are anywhere near ready to be sent into disciplined combat.

She’s been absolutely brilliant. She’s taken a character that is largely reviled in the books, even though she’s a POV character and you should ostensibly be able to see her perspective on things, and imbued her with so much depth and humanity while still remaining an objectively awful person...just an amazing

But she has zero control over any cities except Mereen. Yunkai and Astapor are not under her control. Her army consists of the Unsullied and a number of former slaves that she freed, but they don’t have a whole lot of training and would be over matched against any seasoned Westerosi force. She has dragons, and if they

The Unsullied number around 10,000, which is a sizable force but not enough to take Westeros, especially since they are all essentially foot soldiers without any knights or heavy horse among them. Ramsay, with the support of just a couple Northern houses, apparently has 5,000 men. The Tyrell, Arryn and Dornish armies,

I think we can all agree that in a perfect world the slavers would be hung by their balls and all the slaves would be free and happy and compensated. But I think they’re trying to show the difficulty of enacting changes to practices that endured for thousands of years. Tyrion getting the slavers to stop these

Cersei probably needs to die, she’s done some horrible things. But I’m so invested in her as a character, and the show has done such a great job humanizing her (something the books never pulled off), that I’ll be sad when it happens.

Also, in the scene prior she had told the younger Khaleesi widow that she would need her help. I’m thinking maybe the other girl had poured some oil or other accelerant around the hut earlier.

I get what you’re saying, but the reality is that Dany will need a substantial army to reclaim her father’s throne (and/or face the white walkers) which is where this is presumably all going. The Dothraki horde is the only army in Essos she could feasibly come up with to accomplish this goal. The whole white savior

There has been a lot of (justifiable) concern over gratuitous sexual violence against women on this show, so I’m glad to see that two of the most important players in how this all shakes out will be Dany and Sansa. Both young women who endured hardship and many trials but emerged stronger and complete bad-asses on the

I live in Dallas so I’m biased towards DFW, but your point is certainly valid. And the no state income tax thing is nice, but we pay more in property taxes which lessens the impact a bit. And I agree that playing with an All Star in Aldridge and an MVP candidate in Leonard (while playing for Popp) sounds enticing, but

That is true, but we make up for it in increased property taxes. The no state income tax thing is nice, but a little overblown. Other than Aldridge and Dwight Howard 2 years ago, I don’t think any TX team has ever landed a big name free agent, do I don’t think the tax issue is much of a factor.
