Brando was like “We’re going to make a point by baldly disrespecting the Academy and all of our peers, right in their face, on the biggest stage of their biggest night. Now here’s the plan... you go do that, while I go bowling...”

John Wayne was a chickenshit, red-baiting asshole. Of course he would try to attack someone he had about 100 pounds on.

I feel like every time I hear a John Wayne anecdote it just paints a clearer and clearer picture of what a viciously petty and self important child he was.

I’ll believe it when he’s behind bars.  And that still won’t convince the GQP faithful that he fucked up, he’s blown the lid off an entire demographic of fucking idiots that can’t be put back in the box.

Note that I write this as someone who has never approved of Trump and didn’t vote for him, but anyone who buys talk of him bungling the situation needs to examine one’s bias.

Oh, nonsense. It probably can’t be known how much better we could have done — it was a new virus, and outcomes varied even in the developed world. But I do think we did badly. There are lots of things Trump could have done that he didn’t do. He gets credit for Project Warp Speed, but that’s it.

This is why it always cracks me up when manosphere guys try to use fear tactics on women, and tell us we’re useless without a man and need to lock one down quickly before we “hit the wall.” It’s such obvious fear-based projection. Finding a man is as easy as falling off a chair for most women. Men are the ones in

A couple of years ago I made beef Wellington for Christmas dinner. I couldn’t get any foie gras, so I made a compound butter with potted meat, and used that instead. I figured that as essentially meat-flavored fat, it could at least serve the same purpose in the Wellington. As far as I could tell, it worked out fine.

It’s very important to accurately portray the history of extraterrestrial big-game hunters who came to North America in the early 18th century.

- “I don’t want to read it.”
- “Why not?”

- “It pertains to your company.”
- “I know that! Why wouldn’t I know that?”

You want this man to die BEFORE he can see everything he’s worked for humiliatingly stripped from him and forced to face the consequences of a life built on lies and hatred? Where’s your humanity?

I think his choice of lawyer indicates otherwise.

It’s funny because I hope he fucking dies.

There was a comic that succinctly summed up their issues but I can’t find it. It was a park bench with a white man sitting on it noting how great things are. Black woman sits on the opposite side of the bench (leaving ample space) and the white man is having a temper tantrum on the ground saying how he has been forced

If Cracker Barrel wants to cater to a wider group of customers, what’s wrong with that? Is that not the most American impulse of all?

Wow, never thought I’d see the day when boycotting Cracker Barrel would be seen as owning the libs, but here we are!
