"Way to kill the franchise, Bakula."

It sounds just like the Decapod 10 national anthem!

As soon as I saw the picture a voice in my head said "you broke your little ships." Great scene. "See you around, Ahab"…

Baby Love Child

I'm Going to Go Back There, Someday.

I just teared up at the mention of that song. At work, crap…

House of Sand and Fog tore me up. I'm not sure how many times I cried 'cause I'm not sure if I ever entirely stopped from the attempted suicide scene on.

Umbrellas has left such an indelible stamp on me that the music, even out of context, frequently makes me misty if I stop and listen some of the many popular covers. 'Jurassic Bark', of course, compounded the effect for one particular song.

Martian Judge, you left out Rainbow Connection. That one didn't win either. Stupid Academy.

We played A Kiss At the End of the Rainbow at our wedding.

Miller said it. It's like watching a dream. I know a lot of it doesn't make sense, but it doesn't matter, it's still right.

I loved both Triplets and Wind, and was furious when both songs lost. I didn't know Oscar ballots had straight ticket voting. And I didn't even remember that RotK had a song.

That's how Jack Webb would've written it…
"Maybe each and every living adult still on Omicron watched their children die; only they were so delighted by everything that it never occurred to them to care. I guess that would make [Friday's] fight against the spore-heads a bit more black-and-white."

I just found out there's a DVD of a stage production! Unfortunately, Netflix has neither it nor the 1971 movie. OK, AVClub movie geeks, go request this so they'll get it. You have your assignments.

I seem to be following in your vootschapts. I read the book back in the Eighties, and then lent it to a GF who turned me on to 'One'. From that, I sussed out that there was a movie, but I haven't still haven't seen it. With this reminder, I'll put it on my queue. They play is gonna be tricky. I guess I now have a goal

@wingnut and harris - I'd forgetten the name of the episode, I just got all misty-eyed just reading the synopsis on Memory Alpha. Best TNG ep, IMHO.

I second 'Paul's Boutique', and add ELO's 'Eldorado'

I need to rewatch Collosus: The Forbin Project
"THERE IS ANOTHER"

Oooooo…. I HATE being dis-integrated!

Like last weeks unexplained "Les Nessman" reference, this episode had a hidden gem for us old fogies. Soul of the week 'Edmund Fitzgerald' looking for his sunken boat! Ha!
